SBP in heels

This may sound like a dumb question but is it hard to walk on the BW in heels? My wedding should have heels that are very narrow, and I am worried about getting a heel caught in the boards and tripping! I'm going to bring them with me to my planning session and try them out but just wanted to ask the experts...normally at Disney I am in flip-flops!

I don't think it would be a problem. But it is a looooong walk from the BW to SBP. On my site visit I was SHOCKED at how long the walk is. And if it's hot that's even worse.

How thin of a heel are you talking about?

I didn't find it that difficult, and trust me I am not one to wear heels often!

I will say there is a lot of walking. I wore heels for the ceremony and some pictures, then switched into flats afterwards.

Here is a pic of my heeled shoes. I brought them along to the photoshoot the next morning at Regina's request.

There's either a filler between the boards on the BW or they're set close enough to not be an issue (I seem to remember a filler, but I can't say for certain). So there's no worries about catching a heel. I walked from SBP down the BW in narrow heels and didn't notice any problems. It is a little bit of a walk, but it all depends on the weather and your experience in heels.

I had a skinny heel and it did catch between the boardwalk boards several times. I didn't have a problem on the gazebo itself (I don't know if it was just luck, or if the board spacing was smaller), but on the Boardwalk the heel would get stuck between the boards.

It got stuck probably 9 times, and 2 times I had to yank it with both hands before it would pop out.

I have been on the BW dozens of times in (3" and higher) heels and never once had a problem. I am very used to being in heels so I had no issues on my wedding day or at any other time. As long as you're conscientious about where you're walking you should be absolutely fine. :thumbsup2

I have also gotten my heels caught in between the boards (not a wedding day, just a JellyRolls evening). If you are worried, but still want your skinny heels, you could always try to get some "heel stoppers". They are clear so they wouldn't show, but they would increase the width of your heel base and keep you from slipping between the boards. There's several different styles so you'd just have to google them and find what works best for you. IMHO, I'd probably err on the side of caution and pick some up anyway.
