I am leaving for Disney and want your ideas for Breakfast. I am just starting Phase 2 of the SBD and I am staying at the BWV in a studio. I was planning on eating breakfast in my room to save money (was going to do bagels before starting SBD). I know I am not going to be perfect on vacation but I am planning on trying my hardest to keep on track.

Thanks for all your help

Are you going to do a grocery run....or just use what is supplied at Screen Door General Store ??

One thing to remember is to get some protein in at brekfast. Or at least you could do some whole grain cereal....it would be better than a bagel. Also , an idea I like for brekfast sometimes is just a 1/2 of turkeybreast sandwich on whole wheat bread. Or any other protein/whole wheat combo. The other thing you could do , if you like them, is hard cooked eggs and toast....or if you are really adventurousl.....try cooking eggs in the microwave there. I would definately be careful on eating too many carbs at brekfast ....especially if you are eating out the rest of the day....

Anyone else have ideas ??? I will be doing the same thing in December.

Good Luck!

Thanks for your suggestions. Yes I will be making a grocery stop at Publix on the way to the BWV to get Diet Sprite, Skim Milk, Breakfast foods, and snacks(string cheese, Jello, etc). I may need to try cooking some eggs in the microwave at home to see how they turn out. I have not tried cooking eggs in the microwave for years. I also need to look in the Deli section to see if they have anything that can serve for breakfast/Lunch. Maybe a whole cooked chicken. That would do for several meals in different ways.

I have been looking at the menus at the other resturants and I think I have several ideas for eating out lunch and dinner and staying close to SBD and not eating exactly the same thing every day.

Jeremy, good for you for thinking out your plan before you leave! It's easy to sabotage your eating if you let yourself get into a situation where you're hungry and there's no good option at hand.

It sounds like you're on the right track -- besides string cheese, skim milk, sugar substitute for coffee or tea, sugar-free low-fat yogurt, and a high-fiber low-sugar cereal, I would have nuts and sugar-free trans-fat-free peanut butter on hand as well, in addition to whole wheat bread. I'm partial to cutting a red or yellow pepper into strips and having them with my breakfast.

Good luck and have a blast!
