I want to start working on our X-mas 2001 trip to DisneyWorld but, I have never gotten any of my digital pictures developed before.

I have no idea how and where to do this.

Hope you can all help, well actually I know you'll all have the knowledge to assist.

Thanks,
Laura

Just got my camera for Christmas and have not had any of my digital photos professionally developed yet, but have scoped out www.ofoto.com by kodak and www.yorkphoto.com

Both you can download your photos to be printed. I think the kodak site is pricier.

I'd be interested to see if anyone has used either of these sites.

I use www.shutterfly.com (I think 49 cents for 4x6 glossy)

I just put in a test order at www.clubphoto.com (25 cents for 4x6 glossy or matte)

Many sites give you first 20 or so FREE when joining. Join a few sites & get the free prints. Testing the sites for ease of upload; site navigation; service & quality ----------BEFORE you place a large order.

Everyone likes their prints a little different -- try some flesh tone shots to help you decide.

I ordered some tonight from Shutterfly. I'll wait for those to come in then try one of the others. I got 15 free so I ordered 20 all together.

I use shutterfly. The quality is good. We prepaid at $.29 a print. They have to be used by 12-31-2005, but I don't think that will be a problem. I don't believe there's an experation on the albums either. My first one is from last September and it's still there.

Another benefit to shutterfly is that they don't have open albums. If people are looking at your pictures it's because you sent them a link to share the photos. There's quite a bit of pornography on sites that allow public albums. My workplace blocks access to them - making it hard to share pix : (

Only drawback is that the prints are glossy - I prefer matte.

I have been using the Kodak Picture center at CostCo.com

The 4x6 prints are $0.24 cents each. Printed on Kodak paper.

I have had no issues with the print quality, they look like regular photos. They have shipped very quickly and usually take just a few days to get to me using thier standard shipping (1.49 per ADDRESS any number of pictures).

Good ole Walmart...just take your memory card in and you can pick out the pics you want, enlarge them, delete them what ever you want...I don't remember how much I paid for them but it was fast!

Our local Walgreens - all 100 of them - have a machine in the store that will take all media's, including CD's and floppy disks, and they print on the photo printer in the store for .39 for a 4X6.

OK - not 100, but there are 5 within 2 miles of my house!

I upload my pictures to Walmart.com. The pictures are .26 and I just pick them up at my local Walmart. You can have them delivered but I am not sure how much they cost. I have only had one time that I wasn't pleased but they refunded my money and re-did the pictures.

I also like Shutterfly. Ofoto.com is good but for the price difference I don't think they are any better than Walmart. I have tried Club photo which I was not pleased with at all.

Another vote for Wal-Mart. I love the ease of just putting in my media and using the touch screen. It's .29 a print which is about what it cost for my 35mm developing as well.

I was the local Super Walmart and saw the big sign advertising the digital printing. I went to check it out and they had this big huge FUJI machine that did the printing of them.

That's bad marketing in the home of KODAK. needless to say I don't use WalMart for that reason. I like the KODAK photo center. BUY USA!

come out from Club Photo? I just ordered some and thought I'd check with you. I probably should have checked first.

They came out ok. Not REALLY alot of difference on the test pictures I picked. They might have been a bit light -- not sure? But then again... sometimes I think Shutterfly is a bit dark. LOL Never satisified.

I'm going to stay with Shutterfly mainly because I've already got a lot of PRE-paid pictures there.

they are not original digital photos. They are actually photos my BIL burned onto a cd for me from scanning photos from the 70's and 80's of my sisters and myself.

For Christmas I am going to do a remember when album from my perspective of our childhood being the oldest.

I have pictures of mom expecting each one then a new born pic, just every day type things really, camping, dad building our bedrooms.

I sure hope my sister will enjoy them and much as I am enjoying planning them.

So I mainly used photoclub to get some made free. I think I'm going to try a few different free offers since I need to make to of everything almost.

My last 2 sets of pics I took to Costco and they were only 19 cents for a 4 x 6. And they came out great! Can't beat that!
