i just finished my disney cruise scrapbook and it's too fat to get the cover on. my SB is the kind with 3 screws. does michael's or another store sell exapander things or do i go to a hardware store for longer screws? thanks for answering.
I've gotten long screws at an LSS that replace the small ones. I've also bought extenders that screw into the posts. I find that not all companies' screws are compatible.
A lot of albums also come with cardboard or foam expanders to space between every 20 pages or so. That helps it close properly too.
You can buy expanders-be sure the cardboard spacers as well so that your album doesn't fan to much. I had this same problem with my last album-it was 70 plus pages-what I ended up having to do was take all my completed pages out of the page protectors-this reduced the bulk by more than half!! I was then able to get the album together-I then put the completed pages back in the protectors-no problemo!!
