. . . 5 days, 4 nights of Deluxe resort, air fare, ground transportation, and 5 day park tickets. BUT you have to choose between WDW and Disneyland. You've been to WDW several times, with the last time being 2006. You LOVE WDW, but have never been to Disneyland. Which would you choose????

No, I didn't win anything (darn it) but if I ever do, I want to be armed with "research"!!!!!!!

I really have been to WDW several times and never Disneyland... So this would be a perfect excuse for me to go to DL...

Disneyland. I would want to get the most out of my prize and choose the one I hadn't done before. I've been to WDW before, but have never been to DL. I was hoping my sister would pick to go to DL for her birthday instead of WDW because we haven't been to DL yet.

Definitely WDW. We were at DL last year at this time and we weren't impressed. Don't get me wrong, we had a great time. But we'd go to DW any day.

WDW. I've never been to Disneyland, and I really, really want to, but it's just not enough for 5 days.

Since I can drive to WDW, it would be DL hands down. DL airfare is an $1500 (for my family )from the east coast and I don't get to go to DL very much.

Was to DL once. I wasn't as impressed at WDW. I would go to WDW in a heartbeat.

Me and my family won a trip to WDW last year through Alamo Car Rental. We took it last Christmas. It was so great, we got tickets, airfare, rental car, and a free stay at the GF.

WDW without a doubt. I prefer WDW more than DL. I feel the atmosphere is much better.

5 days and four nights... which means you have travel day on day one and five really leaving you with 3 full days and possibly two half days, maybe less. Not having been to Disneyland this amount of time would be a good amount of time to spend there... well four full days would be better. 3 full days and two (probable) half days at WDW would be frustrating to me. Of course, having been to WDW you don't feel rushed to see everything.

I would choose Disneyland because it is a wonderful trip to take...particularly if you haven't been and even more so if it is free.

As much as I love WDW and go offend. A free trip to DL ( been 3 or 4 times) for someone who has never been would be the way to go.

5day 4 nights could get it all in and a quick trip to somewhere else.

But you should add a 4 night DCL as well as really get some different answers

I would go to Disneyland I think because I have never been. From everything I've heard it's not as much fun as WDW, but to have walked where Walt walked would mean something to me too.

I've been to DLR many times. You can do DLR/DCA the longest three days. There's so much more you can do at WDW, so I would choose WDW.

If you've been to WDW, I'd choose DL. That's not enough time to see WDW and the perfect amount to see DL.
I think DL is great fun and it has a real history. Plus, I like the closeness of it all. You can walk to each park and DTD. You wouldn't have to wait for buses or monorails or trams (though you could). And I've always wanted to stay in DL's Deluxe resorts.
I also find that the crowds were very tolerable the times we went (always in April/May) not to mention, it usually doesn't get as hot as it does in Florida and it hardly rains. In fact, it never did any of the times we went and at night I usually had to wear a jacket.

DLR...I love WDW, consider it my home. But I love DLR, too. DLR and WDW are different resorts, with different things to offer, and I think all Disney fans should try both. And I'd argue if you really want to appreciate WDW, you should see the original.

Plus, if you've been to WDW and never been to DLR, this would be the perfect excuse to go. It's a short trip, so you could cover all of DLR in a way you can't cover WDW. HydroGuy's created an excellent guide on DLR for folks who are familiar with WDW but not DLR: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1162599

I would choose DL simply because you've never been before. While there, I would do a day at DL,a day at California Adventure, and then I would use my own cash to spend a day touring Hollywood, Universal Studios, and drive around Santa Monica, walk on the pier, drive through Beverly Hills, and just simply enjoy being in CA.
