I would love to go back out to DL but being a veteran of both parks, I would pick WDW in a second. It just can't be beat.

WDW hands down. There is WAY more to do there for my 5 days.

Going to DL is on my "before I die" agenda and this would be the perfect opportunity.

I really have been to WDW several times and never Disneyland... So this would be a perfect excuse for me to go to DL...

LOL...I have been trying to convince DH for over a year now to go to DL, but he said why fly all the way over there when we have WDW an hour away. It might still be hard to do even if it were free. :confused3

. . . 5 days, 4 nights of Deluxe resort, air fare, ground transportation, and 5 day park tickets. BUT you have to choose between WDW and Disneyland. You've been to WDW several times, with the last time being 2006. You LOVE WDW, but have never been to Disneyland. Which would you choose????

No, I didn't win anything (darn it) but if I ever do, I want to be armed with "research"!!!!!!!
I DID have this choice. Earlier this year, I won such a trip (for 4) through a McDonalds salad promotion (except we were given 4 day park tickets instead of 5). Of course I chose Orlando and took my trip in July (my choice), and I had been to WDW in 2005.

Disney has a department just for contest winners. They handle all the travel arrangements and have access to hotel information that travel agents don't have (such as availability for specific rooms).

We were allowed to choose ANY room on site, as long as it wasn't conciege level or had a kitchen. We chose the Polynesian (Tuvalu, Magic Kingdom view, third floor, to view the 4th of July fireworks). And we were allowed to extend the length of the vacation (the extra days at our expense). And we were allowed to have more people in our travelling party (the extra people at our own expense). The park tickets that we were given as part of the prize were labelled "Complimentary" and could NOT be added on to in any way.

And yes, we will have to pay taxes on the value of the trip. The trip was valued at about $4400, so the trip will add $1000 to my tax bill this April. However, I will gladly pay the extra $1000 for the 4 nights at the Poly and airfare for 4 and 4 day park hoppers for 4 that we were given.

Although I love WDW and DH and I have a pack that we would purchase DVC and stay for a month if we were to ever to win a lottery. However since I have only been to DL once and that was about 15 years ago, I think I would choose DL so my children to see the west coast and the California Adventure.

Disneyland. First of all, the airfare is much more expensive for me to go to there, so the prize value would mean more to me. But the main reason is that it would be a chance for me to stay at an on-site resort. DL doesn't have moderates or values, only deluxe. So I'd never be able to stay on-site at DL. And since I've never been there, (well, actually, I have ;) ) this would be a perfect choice!

Might not make much sense, but we just love WDW and have no desire to go to DL. Maybe someday, but not in the near future. But anyway, thanks for the free trip............

I vote for DL. I absolutely love WDW and could not see myself giving it up, however since I WON the trip, I would have nothing to lose. Then if DL wasn't enough of a "Disney fix" for me, I could still afford to go to WDW later in the year. Win win situation :goodvibes Get to see DL for the first time AND can still afford to go to WDW!!!

You read my mind! Thank you for putting it in to the right words! They wouldn't come out!

I have never been to Disneyland so I'd pick that even though I adore Disney World. :goodvibes

Well, since I live in California and have lost count of how many times I've been to DL...and since I've only been to WDW once and that was 15 years ago...I'd say WDW would have to win!

We've been to WDW 3 times (last time was July 2006) and DL 1 time (2005). I would definitely go back to WDW. We did not care too much for DL. WDW in our opinion is way much better. So, we'll be heading back to Florida.

WDW without a doubt, it feels like my second home. I doubt I would want to go anywhere else.

We had to make this decision last year...we won a trip from Alamo. Being a west coaster, we already had a large family trip scheduled for DL so we chose WDW.

In your case I would choose DL since you've been to WDW so often.

Me and my family won a trip to WDW last year through Alamo Car Rental. We took it last Christmas. It was so great, we got tickets, airfare, rental car, and a free stay at the GF.

How cool for you!!!! Congrats!
