From Come Cruise with Me, and Yahoo:

As the Alaska cruise season approaches, cruise lines have begun to notify passengers that sailings and excursions to renowned Tracy Arm Fjord near Juneau are being replaced with visits to nearby Endicott Arm Fjord for safety reasons.

“Our tour operator has advised the Tracy Arm Fjord & Glacier Explorer in Juneau, AK has been modified due to operational considerations,” Holland America Line wrote in an email to passengers booked on the excursion that was shared in the Holland America Reddit community.

“Unstable ice and geological conditions currently preclude vessels from entering Tracy Arm Fjord; all 2026 departures will explore Endicott Arm Fjord instead. Endicott Arm offers a stunning view of Dawes Glacier, an active tidewater glacier that regularly calves large icebergs into the fjord,” the email explained.

I have been wondering about this. There was a huge landslide and tsunami right by the glacier last year. Luckily it was early in the morning and no cruise ships or boats were in the area. It did impact two kayakers who were camping on an island quite a ways down from there.
