Say what???? More than 3 FP+

You say the first three time slots had passed - did you actually use all three FP's to get on rides?

Mind blank, but what is WDI? And, do you know if you would have been able to use that FP+ made at a kiosk in the same park you used the first three or did it have to be at a hopped to park?

WDI = Walt Disney Imagineering - i.e., the folks who are doing the implementation of the system.

I can't say for sure if I would have been able to get an additional FP at the Studios at the time, since I didn't try, but under the current test, the fourth pass is supposed to be available at either the original park *or* a hopped-to park.

Won't be there until the 26th of March, but I will report what happens for me.

Sounds good, and I welcome someone else trying the same process, but I do want to warn you - the testing procedure is updating so quickly that what was in place last week might have been changed by the time you're there. (I can't even be sure it's still in place *this* week!)

I know that may sound like I'm back-pedaling, but I want to avoid sounding like I'm saying that *anything* that is in effect during one phase of the test is guaranteed to be unchanged at another point in the test, if it might impact the quality of your vacation. (My contact with my acquaintance in WDI is somewhat limited, so I can't keep up with all the changes. I can say, though, that the stuff she tells me is *not* in violation of any NDA, since she's been both writing them and signing them since back in the days when the Contemporary was called the Tempo Bay.)

Even if possible, not sure it makes sense. You would have to book your 3 original FP+ for early morning times to give yourself enough of a chance to book "extra" FP+. Even if you could, what rides are you going to get? You're not going to get TSM, RNR, Soarin, Test Track, Safari, Everest. Maybe you could experiment at Magic and get some decent rides (MAYBE).

I'd rather just strategically book my 3 FP+ rides for headliners at times when I know the park will be at its busiest rather than waste them in the morning on the hope I could get some other unknown rides late in the evening.

We book same day headliners all the time and I don't book in the early am. I often decided to book around 11am-noon and get everything we are looking for. Only TSM is a guaranteed shut out around that time. We are only looking to book headliners so I haven't paid any attention to m&g FPs so those may or may not also be in short supply.

I just want to tear my hair out with the rules constantly changing. If they have a new system -fine - but after trying to learn it and maximize the use they change the rules. It's really frustrating! :headache:

But they don't have a new system yet. They are still testing things out, and making changes. Sucks for planning, I know, but the best things is just to roll with it, and try to stay flexible.

What sucks is they have a poor roll-out plan and we are paying full price while they play around with it. If they offered something in exchange (dining/resort/ticket discount) I would be more okay with it. This is poor customer service. Not what Disney used to be known for.

Your free not to go and to postpone the trip until the final product is done. The people that look for things for free all the time just make me shake my head. In no way did Fastpass+ ruin our trip it made it different but didn't ruin it and we even had a problem with it one day. I sure as heck didn't pitch a fit and ask for something for free. The entitlement of some people is getting out of control. Now I know why I skip the Fastpass + threads usually.

Unfortunately, it was timed to coincide with my son's high school band trip so I didn't have much flexibility on the dates and only learned of the changes after buying air tickets. I think the system is fine for most of the time but not during peak season.

And 'free'? Are we talking about a different park? While it's going through all the growing pains at the expense of customers there will be a lot of discussion on the topic - sorry you don't like what you read.

You have your opinion and others have There own opinion....shaking my head.

Shake away, it is quite entertaining watching grown people whine endlessly over and over in multiple different threads like the world is coming to an end because a company that you are free not to patronize has changed a way people wait in line.

I tried to get a fourth fast pass at MK tonight and was denied by the CM. Didn't even get to use the kiosk to see what would happen. This was around 7:35 at the storybook circus FP location. We used up our 3rd and final FP at 7:15.
