Say no to Wi-Fi (be kind)

Anyone who has read the "wonderful" news about free wi-fi at deluxe resorts probably saw my lonely post of devastation. There are people who are sensitive to "electrosmog" from cell phones and wi-fi. I have never even thought of asking people to stop using cell phones. That would be stupid and crazy!!! However, is there anyone out there who is willing to complain and protest against the free wi-fi being installed???

There is a school in Ontario, Canada which removed their wi-fi after many student and teacher health complaints.

Anyone with an autistic child who reads Klinghardt's research will know that he believes EMF is a factor in autism. He believes that protecting an autistic child from EMF, mainly at night, is a very important part of treatment. He also believes EMF is a factor in the cause of autism and part of the explanation for the huge increase in cases.

EMF is classified as a carcinogen by the World Health Organization. While people can take steps to limit their time on cell phones, sleeping in a room which is constantly emitting wi-fi signals is not a good thing.

Please don't call me crazy. If you believe that then please laugh to yourself and don't come down on me. I am truly in a bad place and have come out of my lurking status to try and fight this. I am a desperate, very sad person.

This decision really does affect the health of people staying at the hotels.
Also, please be aware of this potential and if anyone in your family suddenly starts to suffer from strange symptoms while staying at WDW, please keep this in mind. EMF can cause headaches and rashes, etc.
EMF can also affect diabetes, MS and fertility.

Please be aware.

Sorry! I am SO excited for FREE Wi-Fi. After staying at the Grand Floridian last year and having to PAY for internet access, I am relieved that WDW is finally acknowledging that their guests are worth this service. Most hotels offer free wi-fi.

So happy WDW is realizing their guests are worth it

You may have to find a resort off property that suits your demands. Good luck.

I'm sorry about your sensitivity, but Disney IS going wifi and no protest will stop it. Today it's the Deluxe and DVC's, soon it will be all over property. It's all part of the highly anticipated, rumored "next gen" enhancements coming to the resorts and parks.

There is just too much interest from the guests and too much that the Imagineers can do with wifi available to them.

This is just so silly, sorry, but that's my opinion. You are against wi-fi in the rooms yet you will go vacation in a spot where I am willing to bet there are thousands and thousands of cell phones surrounding you. When you are waiting in line for a ride how many people are standing near you most likely playing on their phones killing time. If you are that sensitive to these signals then WDW is the least of your issues.

ETA - wouldn't there also be a heck of a lot of EMFs in the airport/airplane during your 5 round trip flights per year that go all the way across the continent?

A micro wave,the electric wires outside and also a normal wired computer also produce this EMF thing.
All Disney parks and resorts have big "mother"antenna's so the CM can use their walkie talkies.

It is ridiculous to think EMF wasn't already present throughout the entire sDisney property before adding hotel WiFi for guests. The place is saturated with computer, technology, electricity, and communication equipment.

If you were able to go 60 times before, you'll be able to go now. Unless you choose not to.

Just adding - no seriously, there are WiFi networks all over Orlando and the Disney property. This is just visible free for hotel guests network that has been added. It is the "first" one. If you've been staying in the hotels without any sort of symptoms up until now. Good News! Maybe you aren't as "allergic" as you think you are because you've been tolerating exposure just fine.

There is wifi in places you don't even think to look for it. Towns are now offering free wifi - you will have to avoid those towns. How would you even know? You've probably driven through or walked around a town without knowing that it's even there.
