like breakfastosaurus, photos are taken before the meal and sold as a package (29.95) which when purchased can be added to photopass. unlike breakfastosaurus, this is what you get for a backdrop:

nowhere does it mention tusker house or donald's safari breakfast. nor is there a special photopass border for it according to the photographer there. it comes in the following folio:

and includes a stock photo of the fab 5 in front of the tree of life, with printed autographs

now onto - rather, into - the restaurant.

the decor hasn't changed at all, but what has changed drastically is now the marketplace actually looks like a marketplace! food stations are set up in the center and all around the perimeter and are designed to look like vendor sales carts.

(yes, the krispy kremes are still there!)

no omelettes made to order, just two varieties of fritata (ham & cheese and potato & leek) in addition to scrambled eggs. i was partial to the fritata, the potatoes, the banana orange bread and the banana & cinnamon bread pudding.

they also serve the poly juice (guava, orange, passionfruit) although it seemed a bit too uncold for me

anything else?

oh yes, characters!

(daisy was absolutely awesome i might add)

they also got the kids periodically involved in this noise making parade thing whose name i never really got but i think it translates to awakening song. happened twice while i was there, but i was lingering a bit

now of course the inevitable question... overall, the food was pretty impressive. not the widest or greatest selection of the breakfast buffets, but it was good. more than i can say for breakfastosaurus. also, with a completely different configuration, the characters did seem to flow but they were exceptionally generous with time and attention, a sharp contrast to several experiences of guests at breakfastosaurus.

my server who worked at breakfastosaurus agreed on both points but was being tight-lipped on a formal opinion since the restaurant had just opened and she felt it was too early to really be able to tell how it will play out in the future.

Thank you so much for the photos and review. Your photos make me feel like we are there! :)

Thanks for the pics! I'm assuming they also had normal breakfast fare like sausage, waffles etc?

AWESOME:thumbsup2 That is one of my ADR's I'm making in 2 weeks. Glad to know it was good. I think its great when the characters actually interact with the children instead of just walking by your table for a quick picture and autograph and then they are gone.

As far as the photo package goes, is that included with the character meal like at CRT, or do you only add that on if you want it in addition to the meal?

WooHoo:thumbsup2
Thanks for the pics. We are having breakfast there on 11/25 and was excited to see how it was all laid out.
I love the new decor!

do they also have "normal" breakfast foods such as bacon, sausage, potatoes, waffles???

This is exactly what i was waiting for. Thank you for posting those pics and sharing. Looks like you're the 1st to post up a review on DSB.:thumbsup2

Thanks for Sharing!!
Love the Pictures!!

I've been looking everywhere for information
on it opening and about the food choices.
It really looks like a lot of fun.
We will be putting this on our list for ADRs.
Can't Wait!!!

Thanks for the pics! I'm assuming they also had normal breakfast fare like sausage, waffles etc?

yes, they have mickey waffles at the kid station. also sausage patties at another station with bacon and the potatoes i think.

As far as the photo package goes, is that included with the character meal like at CRT, or do you only add that on if you want it in addition to the meal?

no, only CRT builds that into the cost of the meal. it's $30 extra here.

Thanks a bunch for this review ! We're going to try this next month and I was hoping to read reviews before we go. Donald's Breakfastausorus was the worst character meal for us, so we've been anxiously waiting for this one to open.

Thank you Brad! What time did you get in? No problems getting into the park? Is this place (building) where they held the former breakfast? What ride did you hit first after bfast?
Thanks
Chris

Thanks for the review! We have an ADR there for February, but are not sure whether we really want to go. I think your ADR just made me really want to try this character breakfast! I just hope they stay as good as tHey seem to be now!

my ADR was for 8:20, i arrived at the park at 8:15 and checked in and walked in.

tusker house is in africa. the previous breakfast was at restaurantosaurus.

this is pretty much right near kilimanjaro safari. if i was a typical guest, what i might do is FP KJS and then ride everest standby. personally, i went to conservation station right after.

Thanks so much for you review!! We have an ADR in February. We always went to Donald's Breakfastaurous and were pretty happy so I was curious to see how the Tusker House would be different. I love the decor! And the food sounds delicious. One question though did they have french toast? The one thing we all liked at Breakfastaurous was the cinnamon swirl french toast. If not I won't be too dissapointed since they have banana bread pudding and I love bread pudding!
Thanks Again!

Thanks for your report - and, as always, great photos!:thumbsup2

We did enjoy our experience at Donald's Breakfastosaurus, but this one looks even better! Can't wait to try it out some time.:)
