I wanted a costume that was fun, but very simple for MNSSHP in Sep 2008.
I wore a Tiara and black pedal pushers/tshirt.

The T-Shirt had a pageant style sash painted on "Mis Spelt 2008".
And all over the outfit, in diff colour paint, even in glow-paint, I had written diff Disney Characters, etc but using alternate spellings.

A lot of people didn't get it, but I'd notice a person even so often staring, and thinking, and then grinning. Cast Members especially liked it (extra candy for you!).

My "game" is reverse mondegreens........mondegreens are when you hear something, but misinterpret it as something else that sounds similar.

Like that famous Jimi Hendrix line... "There's a bathroom on the right".. turns out it's actually "there's a bad moon on the rise".

There's actually a game that you can buy (don't know what's it's called-- I actually came up with my costume wording and then had a friend say, yeah, just like..._____ game! Great minds think alike!)

Basically take a Disney word/phrase but write it with other similar sounding words.
You'll need to say the words aloud. Often if you say it to someone who doesn't see the way it's mis-written, they'll know right away what it is, and have no idea why you're saying you don't get it!
