I recently read a dining review where the author was dissapointed with my beloved Main Street Bakery Cinnomen(sp?) Roll. They are no longer the oooey gooey sticky bun of wonderfulness...please tell me he/she was there on an off day??

I think everything/one has its off days. Also, what you find gooey is what someone might call dry. I would take the review like a grain of salt.

If it's the same review I saw, I believe they said they went there first thing in the morning and felt like they got rolls leftover from the day before instead of fresh baked. She said they tasted like they'd been in the fridge all night and just taken out.

So I'd say it was an "off" time more than an off day.

I hope it was an off day but considering the state of disney dining I wouldnt be surprised.

Yes, please do post about them, especially if you go first thing in the morning That's when I go, and I was disappointed to read that things weren't fresh then.

I've tried the cinnamon rolls at WDW and DL three times now. Never been impressed and I'm not sure why it's so popular. The rolls have always been hard and flavorless. I would agree with the review that said they taste stale. And I've always had them first thing in the morning. Maybe I should wait for late morning in case I've always gotten last night's batch?

Just had to reply to this! The cinnamon roll at Main Street Bakery is our favorite snack. We have had it multiple times during our stays and at different times of the day and have never had one that was not yummy and gooey. We are all varied in our tastes so there are bound to be some that are not "into" each and every thing. We just had them so go and enjoy - yum

Just checked with someone who just returned last week and he said the cinnamon rolls were the same gooey, perfect, sweet mess they have always been. I saw a picture and it really looked good.

Our family would always go between like 9-11 in the morning everyday we visited MK. They were always hot, fresh, gooey and DELICIOUS!!! We have not gone in at least 4 years but I sure hope nothing has changed. I honestly think just they were having an off day. Maybe a new cook or baker in training? You never know

We prefer the softer, sweeter Cinnabon variety of Cinnamon roll, so we were disappointed in the MK ones, too. They reminded us of a larger Hostess variety.

We weren't fans, but I am glad they make sooo many of my fellow dissers happy!
