Say it ain't so... Disney banished the wooden gun??

Is this the one you're looking for? They were there in December.

we have a very similar picture of DS:

Why would a California law have any affect on a Florida park?

Maybe because merchandising has moved to a "Disney Parks" model rather than Disneyland and Walt Disney World? If they can't sell a specific item on both coasts I do think it would be quickly replaced by something acceptable in both CA and FL.

My son does mind the bright colored ones and that's all we saw last trip. Is there any place you can still find the brown rifles?

i didn't notice them, but i wasn't looking for them, to be honest. my son loves the colored versions. i'm sorry your son doesn't. :( i don't know if you can find them brown ones. i don't think i've seen them for awhile (but again, i haven't been looking).

THAT'S EXACTILY WHAT IM LOOKING FOR!!! they used to make a brown natural wood color shellacked with iron trigger n firing pins! now they look like some wierd christmas looking guns... where did the classic guns go and where do we buy them so our kids can experience what we had???

Several yrs ago when my DS got his last one (has a few) it was in a gift shop near Indiana Jones at the Studios.

This is the type of gun we are talking about, Amazon has them, so they still are being made

I'm quoting myself to show that you can still get the natural wood ones elsewhere. Just used Amazon for ease but you can find them other places also. I'm sad that Disney isn't selling them, those colored ones are hideous and not something realistic or something you would want to hold onto and keep for a child. My DS would not have liked those.

Just google Parris manufacturing. They make the wooden guns and they make the pistols, have several styles including the double barrel that was at POTC. Remember Disney didn't make them, they just bought and resold them. So they are still available other places.

Both of my boys picked up wooden guns in April on our trip. Found at Fort Wilderness, POTC and other locations.

what a shame that switched them to the red n green junk!... thank you again

obviously no offense to you or your kids but toys now ah days are junk I just expected better from disney because they have the clientele that pay up for quality

no offense taken, but aren't the red and blue ones from the same company posted earlier? i'll have to check DS' guns tomorrow to see if i can find the manufacturer.

but basically, they're the same thing, just with a paint job. :confused3

that's a shame. if there's one thing kids need, it's realistic toy guns.

Actually some kids do.

If a child is interested in history and the military and guns they don't want plastic cartoon junk. They want realistic guns. Not all kids just get a gun to go bang bang!

My son is and has been since an early age interested in military history and all history and always wanted realistic guns not cartoon replicas.

Just like some girls like realistic dolls and hate cartoony ones like the old Bratz dolls. Same thing.

Do not talk down to me and act like I'm stupid. I was not questioning being upset that a child was holding a gun at someone. I was questioning her right to yell at my child. That is MY job and unless my daughter is pointing a gun at someone else, I will take care of it. Get over your snark and worry about someone else's post on here--oh, and that goes to the others who quoted you as well. I want less drama in my life, but I guess you need more. What a pity. :goodvibes

I am one of the "other who quoted" the PP you are speaking to. I want to sincerely apologize. I did not mean to say you were stupid by any means. When you put a :confused3 after your description of the CM getting upset at your DD, I thought you were indicating that you were confused about why she would be upset. I misinterpreted. Again, I'm sorry to have upset you. :cloud9:
