Say Goodbye to the Disney World Hess stations!

:( Hope they still have the hot dogs. I know it may sound silly, but it's our tradition to get a hotdog from there on the way home. They seem to taste better there than anywhere. :)

As long as they essentially are the same inside, I don't care.

I'm soo weird. I LOVE the Hess gas station across the street from Downtown Disney.
It's arguably the safest gas station in Orlando to go to at night :D (I avoid going to gas stations late at night if at all possible because there's always a story on the local news about a gas station getting robbed at gunpoint.)

For a while, if I needed gas on my way home from work at night, I'd go to this one (as the exit to get there was on the way home anyway).

I like having my soda from the touch screen machine and personal pizza or one of the Dunkin Donuts....

If it was up to me they would put some more of the Wawas that have been going up all over Central Florida.I can't wait till they come down to South Florida as in my opinion they're the best gas stations anywhere,I hear from people from the northeast that they're not that great up north but at least the new ones that I've been to in the Orlando area(Central Florida Pkwy by Sea World and another one near the Walmart on 535)theyre the most amazing gas stations ever.Touch screens to customize sandwiches, coffee drinks, smoothies and other food items, grab and go breakfast sandwiches and cream cheese filled pretzels, along with everything else you could need and its all relatively cheap along with low gas prices.Come on!!!

Yaasssss
I love wawa!
They sprung up so rapidly over a short period of time.
Next to the Disney world Hess stations, they are also my go to gas stations.
They have everything you need, brightly lit, serve fresh food 24/7.
They actually would be perfect to have on property for the food choices alone.

Not sure about in Florida, but in the Midwest Speedway is everywhere. They have Krispy Kreme instead of Dunkin (it's the only place we can get KK doughnuts around here) and lots of "roller food." Their freezees are good - always Coke, blue raspberry and cherry, plus some stations will have Mountain Dew, Sprite, Orange cream, and other specialty freezee flavors. Coffee is not bad, if a bit weak to my taste.

This was a long time coming. Speedway bought all of Hess "retail" locations long ago. They changed all the locations over to Speedway in Florida back at the beginning of the year. I'm sure the only reason the 3 on Disney property had not changed was there was a visual appearance clause in the contract.

This change has been happening all around Orlando since around Spring if I recall correctly. Most of the ones around here where we live in Dr. Phillips have already been changed over.

Sheetz needs to make its way to FL...now that's a great gas station :). They have churros at their MTO (made to order) area, and they really taste so close to Disney churros! (and you get more churros for less money than you do at WDW :))

Glad their changing. All the other Hess' further south changed to speedway earlier this year.

Only wish they could've changed the Disney ones to WaWa's, 7/11, or Circle K's though

Wow, Wawa at Disney would be awesome!

Anyway, on my last trip there, the Hess station off-property that you hit leaving via Epcot out to 417 (Greeneway) had already converted to Speedway. The gas prices were on par with the on-site Hess stations and it seemed fine.

The Wawas up here (Eastern PA) have the touch screens, too, and their sandwiches are awesome!

I live in a glorious realm where there is pretty much a Wawa every other block, but have cheated on them with the Speedway by my house when time was short before Little League games. Their coffee is not bad at all; I wasn't expecting much, so it was a pleasant surprise!

My DH will be happy because its another place he can use his rewards card!

The Speedways are basically the same as the stations were under the HESS brand. It was, more or less, just an aesthetic change.
