We're trying to decide what to do in Ketchikan when we go to Alaska this summer. We have an DS8 and a DD6. We're debating between Saxman Native Village and Potlatch Park.

Any recommendations? Why?

We've done both on our different cruises. There's really not much for young children to do at either, but it depending on whether you kids enjoy taking tours, they might be interested.

Saxman Village is a tribal house with a woodworking shop close by. Sometimes there is nothing going on at the woodshop. And you may or may not have an actual event going on at the tribal house.

Potlatch Park is a big park (gorgeous views) with many totem poles and a tribal house. There is also a automobile museum and a carving shop.
