Saw The Oncologist...

Continued prayers in your behalf. May I say I think your attitude is wonderful and very encouraging. I think a positive attitude goes a long way in helping with a good outcome.

You are in my prayers, Val.. Glad to hear the cancer didn't spread.

Val, I am so glad to hear that the cancer has not spread. Your attitude is so admirable--you can beat this!

Best of luck, Val. I'm almost 4 years out, myself. I know what you're going through. Wishing you all the best!

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted.

I have a friend that went through this last year. She too finished up her treatment in the early spring. We were suppose to go to WDW in October 2002 but that setback kept us from going.

I'm happy to report that my fellow Disney Chicks will be returning to the world this Thursday! All her hair has grown back and she's doing great. She's a strong girl with lots of family support and friends.

Our celebration dinner will be at Victoria and Alberts on Friday night at 9pm. Think of us as we toast her recovery!

You too should look forward to an upcoming trip when your done with this. I say plan a bit of something to celebrate your recovery! Good luck to you and I'll be thinking of you.

My friend did go to her hairdresser when she was "closed" and had her cut off all her hair in private. She said as her hair started to come out her head hurt and didn't want to wait for it to all come out so she had her do it all in one fell swoop. Her hairdresser had gone through the same treatment the year before so she knew what to expect.

I'm sorry your going through this, take care and be strong.

Best wishes to you during your treatment and prayers for a speedy recovery!!

You are still in the early stage of your journey and I wish you all the best. You seem to have a great outlook and this is what will pull you through. Stay positive! I am saying a prayer that your nodes will be negative.

Trying on wigs can be somewhat emotional, but with the right outlook (seems like you definetly have it), it can be fun too! Try on different cuts and colors!

Contact the American Cancer Society and ask them about the "Look Good, Feel Better" program. It is a wonderful program, usually held at a local hospital, that will give you make-up (the GOOD stuff!) and show you how to apply it, some even have wig programs. You go there and they will give you a wig of your choice. Like the title implies, you will look good and feel better.

All my best.

Good luck Val, I'll be thinking of you.

Best wishes, Val, and continued prayers. Good news on the localization of the cancer, very good. Marie is 5 years out now, and I so recall those early days where you are right now. In not all that long a time, you will be looking back too. My best.

And remember, both Lady M and I are always open to listen.

Dan
