Saw some sales and needed to control myself!

I saw some sales for shoes and boots. The thing is that when i see things on sales, something goes off in my mind that I need to get it because it won't go on sale for a long time!! However, I don't need it! Took me about two hours to talk myself out of it!

I am now grateful! Very, very grateful that I didn't purchase anything!

I know exactly what you mean...Zulily seems to get me a lot...I have vowed to not buy anything until after our trip...sometimes it's ok to look...but the deals are just too good sometimes! That's how I managed to mindlessly spend so much last month... !!!

Here's to hoping I can resist the good deals on there until at least AFTER our trip!!!!

The way I see it, if I by pass a sale I take and put away the money I was going to spend. It can add up in a hurry also.

I know how you feel.

I have way too much and I still get severe urges to shop. When this happens, I start to organize my closet and drawers. I see how much I have and find things that I forgot I have and still love. It calms my urge and I get organized at the same time.

Maybe, if you try this, it will help your urge also.

While this is a great idea...my problem is that I don't need the email to remind me they have new inventory at 8:00! BUT, I have resisted the urge to get the app just to be able to look at the new stuff an hour (I think it's an hour) early... baby steps... baby steps...

I also do this when we decide to eat out, when there is no need to. So put 20 bucks in a jar. It is almost like paying a bill with all the extra money. Or what else that is needed.
