Saw "Dodgeball" Yesterday

Not too bad. I think I liked Starsky and Hutch much better. I found that I wasn't laughing out loud as much as some other Ben Stiller comedies. But it was mildly entertaining. I'd probably wait for it on video if you are thinking of seeing it.

BTW if you have Game Show Network...they have a show called extreme dodgeball...I havent caught it yet but might be an interesting twist to what used to be one of the best elem school games!!

DD and 3 friends (1 girl, 2 boys) went to see it Friday. They all had different reactions.

DD thought it was good.
Girlfriend thought it was OK.
Boy 1 thought it was pretty good.
Boy 2 thought it was a waste of time.

So there you have it, from a group of 15 year old critics.

We saw it Friday night and actually got the chance to do a rating with punchcards afterwards.

Clint gave it an A, because he loves slapstick humor, Three Stooges, etc.

I gave it a C, because it is really lowbrow humor...(I did laugh uncontrollably though.)

The fact that I think Vince Vaughn is the hottest man on earth other than my husband also is a nice selling point.

I liked Dodgeball. I thought it was funny, but anything with Owen Wilson in it will have me rolling all over the floor. Just looking at him makes me bust out laughing. I love Owen.

My DSs went to see it last week. They read or were told somewhere that the best part was at the end of the credits.

SO-what do they do? They went to see it again today so they can see this supposedly great part. Well, they waited , and waited, and waited, and the movie people turned it off just as the music credits were rolling.


Does anyone know what happened after the credits?? You may PM me so it doesn't spoil it for anyone else! I refuse to let them spend more money to see it again!

Aerokiss--I feel the same way about Owen Wilson, which is why I really like Starsky and Hutch. But Owen wasn't in Dodgeball. Or did I mis-read your comment?

I saw it tonight and enjoyed it. It was funny, but not the funniest from either Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller. Overall, glad I saw it.

We waited thru most of the credits and didn't see anything extra. Pls pm me if there was something I missed.

Saw it today and we though it was pretty funny. I laughed out loud a lot. There was a lady in there with 3 children about 3yrs old though! I wonder if they will be asking her what several of the lines mean!

Working at a movie theater as I do, I can tell you with 100% certainty that there is something at the very end of the credits. It's basically Ben Stiller in a "fat"suit (seen briefly at the end of the actual movie). What he's doing...well, this is a family board, so I'm not going to mention it.

DH and I saw it last week at the drive-in theater, along with "Garfield." Garfield was the movie we wanted to see, but stayed for "Dodgeball" too and it was all right. Not bad enough to make us leave before it ended, but not good enough I'd want to see it again.

I'm looking forward to Ben Stiller's new movie, "Meet the Fockers" to come out, which is the sequel to "Meet the Parents." Dustin Hoffman is playing Ben's Dad and Barbara Streisand is playing his Mother. Should be hilarious!!! Can't wait!!!
