Saw a cool new umbrella style stroller that works with infant car seat at BRU...

Honestly,
I am not a big fan of BRU or chicco BUT, I saw this yesterday at the local store and was absolutely bummed that they didn't have it when we had our first kid.

Would've saved me a good $200 probably from buying the extra snap on car seat holder, a city mini AND now an umbrella stroller...

If we had this we would've probably skipped all of the above.

The stroller is quite light (About the same weight as a mini I think) and reclines almost all the way.
The only downside I see is that the canopy is as crappy as all other umbrella strollers out there.
So you'd have to buy an extra sunshade but that's not overly expensive.

Man... the things they come up with.

I'm always a year late for my ideal baby stroller. With our 4th, now 18 months, I searched far and wide for an umbrella stroller that accepted A car seat. I settled on a bumbleride flite http://www.amazon.com/Bumbleride-Lightweight-Compact-Travel-Stroller/dp/B004S0GWPA

It comes with a car seat adapter bar. I have a love/hate relationship with that stroller (no stroller is 100% perfect) but it was the only umbrella i could find a year and a half ago that accepted a car seat. The Chico seems less than perfect too, but it's nice there's more options now. I hate travel systems and the space they take up in the trunk.

Mine is 18mo too and sheesh... I would've jumped on this stroller if they had it then...
But we just used the older snap on that we had for our first born.
The $ we spent on these baby stuffs is amazing...

I searched high and low 6 years ago while pregnant with my son for something other than a traditional travel system. I found it in the Graco line. It was the Graco Mosaic. The stroller was a little larger than their current Ipo line, but folded like an umbrella stroller and had the lap bar across to accept an infant seat. I loved that stroller. And was sad to pass it along after two years...but super pleased with he Ipo I bought to replace it. In fact the Ipo just went with us to Disneyland last week. It's bitter sweet knowing it was the last time we'd take a stroller in a Disney trip.

Just FYI, ANY reclinable stroller that has a napper bar can hold an infant carseat; you just need to recline the seat and wedge the carseat in, then secure the carseat to the frame with a luggage strap.

I have never used anything but European-made umbrella strollers, and when I needed to transport the baby in the carseat this was how I did it.
So-called "travel systems" first hit the market when my eldest was about 3 years old, and I laughed my head off at the "new" idea of using a stroller and infant carseat together.
