Savor the Savana tour

I was looking at some of the special tours available and this one sounds interesting but I can find NO information about it on these boards. Has anyone done it? It looks like my window for booking will come up in a day or two and wanted some more information before committing. We are a party of 5 (2 adults, 3 "kids" aged 18-22) who took the safari ride in 2018 and we all loved it way more than we expected. This would be a private version of that maybe with some food and drink included? Any additional tips about this? The website is suuuuper vague. Looks like they do a 315 and 430 tour each day, it lasts 2 hours. Any thoughts on which time would be better with the animals? This is mid-May I'm looking at. Thanks!

There's lots on it here somewhere. Not sure what search terms will turn it up for you.
We've done it a few times, though none since it's return. Can't say if there are any changes or not.
It's not a traditional safari in any way.
You go out in a different truck (the Wild Africa Trek truck) and stop to speak to some of the handlers on the savannah about the animals and their jobs.
Then you go to the boma out on the savannah and have a small plate meal with beverages. It's good food as long as they have a wide palate. If they like eating at Boma or Sanaa then they'll love it. If they don't, they probably wouldn't.

It's just not coming up for me, so if anyone can link me to some of these threads or know what I should search for, thanks in advance!!

Do you get to see the animals up close? Or just talk to handlers? Does it feel like "wow I feel so special I'm out here behind the scenes"?

I was actually thinking of booking Sanaa on our first night but decided against it since we should probably go there during the day (and it doesn't really work for this trip)--they like curry and naan, so I think they would be ok with the snacks.

Try using 2 n's and see if that helps.

Odd. Searching is always a challenge for me. There was a thread within the past month or so. I’ll see if I can find it. It may be the 2 n’s as posted above too

Mostly talk to the handlers. You are no closer to the animals. You are stationary longer. So you so feel special.

Hmmm...this doesn't sound like what I would want to do. I don't have any super animal lovers in the group (that would care about the handling as much as seeing them). I'll do some more searching on the tour though just to see if there's any more info to help me decide differently. Thank you so much!
