I'm sure this has been posted before by others, but I think it's worth repeating.
I was going to put this on the budget board, but it really applies mostly to us Canadians. I have started doing something a little different for this coming trip. Instead of putting loonies and toonies in with the rest of the change in our change jar, I throw it in a desk drawer. Then, when I've accumulated a bit, I go to the bank and change it to US. In just a month, I saved $60CDN, which I converted on Saturday, so we should have ample ready cash for incidentals by the time February rolls around. And because it's coins, I really don't notice them missing.
Kungaloosh!
Morticia.
