Saving Kid's Dining plan meals??

Ok, so I think I've read that you can save a child's dining plan meals and pay out of pocket for their meals (my son lives off of PB&J and Mac n Cheese, and will NOT eat a whole kid's meal anyways). My MIL will be joining our trip at the end of our stay and we would like to save the meals for her. My questions: Is there a noted difference on the kid's meals (ie, would anyone know)?? AND, can kid's eat your appetizers without incurring any additional expenses (he might go for cheesesticks). Thank you!!

Can you do it? Yes. Is it right in my opinion...no. I think this would be abusing the system. You paid for a kids meal but your trying to get a higher priced adult meal.

Yes, your child can eat your appetizer if they want.

Good news.. there is no such thing as a "child's" meal. Disney does not differentiate between and adult or child's credit. They pool all your credits together and anyone in your part can use any of the credits at anytime up to midnight on the night of your check out. This is the way Disney has set up the plan and intends for it to be used. Enjoy!
