Saving Dole Whip Float Money (Update 2/27: TR Link Posted!)

Hi, I'm in! I've seen you on Joni's PTR! Looking forward to playing your game, what a great idea! :cool1:

Ooh! I would very much like to play! Does this mean I could possibly get a prize?

WE'RE GOING TO WDW!! WOOHOOOOOOOOOO :woohoo:

That made me lol. So glad things worked out with the timeshare!!

I told her that that was a sign that she's smart, haha. During a middle school spelling bee, one of the smartest girls in the grade forgot how to spell "slide." She absolutely froze! She was spelling every other word with ease, but she froze so badly here. She asked for it in a sentence and it was pronounced so many times. She did eventually get it right, but we all sat there so nervous for her!

I'm so glad too! We could've found another way to get there, but it would've cost at least $200 more. Plus, this way we take the week off of my parents' hands and help them out.

Hi and welcome!!! Yup, I've seen you too! I hope you have fun with my game!

WE'RE GOING TO WDW!! WOOHOOOOOOOOOO :woohoo:

Well, if you don't win, you'll still get to go to Disney! Plus, I know you'll probably be able to figure out the characters, but let's see how well you know park trivia!

Woohoo exactly! Haha, you realize it's within a year that we're going back? What happens if this starts a trend? What happens if we need to go back every year?!? Haha, we should get Dani and Ray addicted too.

What a great idea for a game, looking forward to play! :)

Thanks! I knew my game would have to be a word game. I love word games!

Character Scrambler: Round 1

Directions
1. Figure out the word or words for each clue.
2. Identify the mystery letter from each clue.
3. Unscramble all the mystery letters to reveal the mystery character, which will be a character in any Disney movie!

Clue #1 (3 words / 3rd letter in 1st word): __ __ __ __ __ __ __ / __ __ __ __ / __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __
This is the most terrifying attraction at Magic Kingdom because there is a mounted buffalo head on the wall that talks.

Clue #2 (2 words / 3rd letter in 2nd word): __ __ __ __ __ / __ __ __ __
This name of this food stand serves a yummy snack that can also be found at Captain Cook's at the Polynesian Resort.

Clue #3 (2 words / 2nd letter in 1st word): __ __ __ / __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __
If you read my update about the Japan pavilion on my April TR, you would have seen that I called this person my buddy! He's also the voice and face of WDWRadio!

Clue #4 (1 word / 1st letter): __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __
Since we most likely won't be going to DHS this trip, I'll be listening to the soundtrack for (blank) while I'm at home. My favorite part of the music takes place when the monkeys stomp on their floats.

Clue #5 (2 words / 2nd letter in 1st word ): __ __ / __ __ __ __ __ __ __
Even though the 4 of us aren't definite about our plans, we already have an ADR made for this restaurant that will soon become a signature dining experience in March!

Mystery Letters (scrambled): __ __ __ __ __
Mystery Character (unscrambled): __ __ __ __ __

Post your final answer when you're done. Have fun and good luck!

I don't know if I should jump in just yet, but I think I got it! I think I'll give others a chance to wake up since it's 10am on a Saturday morning of a long weekend! :D

Haha, yes, Howard did get it! He told me in a separate chat. I thought someone else would get it before he did because I posted it when he had to go out and walk his dog Kito and had to be manly and tend to the garden.

I've got my letters, but for the life of me I can't come up with a character. :confused3:headache:

Do you have 5 letters? Howard said I made Clue #3 confusing because it's just one letter, but I indicated that it was found in the 1st and 2nd word. I changed it in the game, and I explained what I changed at the bottom of that post.

It's not an ENTIRELY obscure character, but you'd have to remember HIS name to know it.

Character Scrambler: Round 1 Answers

Congratulations to floridascgirl who got the correct answer of Lefou from Beauty & the Beast! Here are the answers and a little bit more detail for some of them!

Clue #1: Country Bear Jamboree = U
For those of you who've read my other TRs, you'll know my fear of buffalo! I can slightly deal with Living with the Land, but I will never be able to go see Country Bear Jamboree since the buffalo head on the wall is there the entire time!!! This trip, I know I'm going to have Weird climb on board Living with the Land first following by me then Dani and Ray. Haha, need to create more of a barrier between me and the buffalo! But I also don't want to sit on the end of the other side of the bench either! What happens if the big buffalo told one of the little buffalo to stand on the other side of the platform?!?

Clue #2: Aloha Isle = L
When I sent Danielle the link to this PTR, she said that the picture of the float looks really good! I explained to her that it's pineapple soft serve (non-dairy, woohoo for those who are lactose intolerant just like Howard and me!) with pineapple juice. She really likes pineapple too, so she's anxious to try this! She knows that I've tried a few places and have done research for other places, so the food choices are pretty much up to me!

Clue #3: Lou Mongello = O
Yes, he's my buddy. Haha, that's all I'm going to write about this for now.

Clue #4: Fantasmic = F
As creepy as the monkeys are (from what I remember, aren't they ... uh, orange?) when their floats appear on the water, the stomping dance that they do is great! I love that part right before the music changes to The Lion King!

Clue #5: Le Cellier = E
I was worried that there wouldn't be any spots left for Le Cellier during our week since it's past the 180 day mark. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were many available spots! I'm hoping that's a sign of fewer crowds? Hoping? Hoping? Hoping??? Even if there are a good amount of people there (Feb 2008 during Pres Week wasn't crowded at all compared to April 2010 Easter Week), it'll be much easier to handle because it'll be cooler. It's the perfect time to have a heavier meal then! If you're following my TR, you would've read that Howard and I passed on an opportunity to eat at Le Cellier as walk-ups! We just weren't hungry! We'll make sure we're hungry this time!

Lastly, the reason why I chose Lefou is because I once drew a picture (copied it from another picture) of Gaston wrapping his arm tightly around Lefou's neck, kind of squishing him. I was never much of an artist, but I spent so much time on it that it's clearly Gaston and Lefou! I colored it in with colored pencils, and to this day, I'm still rather proud of it!

Here's a picture I drew of Mrs. Potts and Chip. Okay, you can obviously tell it's them, but the proportions are wrong, and they're a little misshapen.

A139.jpg

I also drew Belle. She has the flattest face ever! When I showed it to my mom on the camera before, she let out a laugh. Haha, thanks mom. You gave all the artistic ability to my older brother!

A138.jpg

Okay, so here's the Gaston and Lefou that I was so proud of! Even if it's not as good as what others could do, I still really like it to this day because the proportions are a lot closer to what they should be than the other two pictures.

A137.jpg

I guess drawing's not my thing. I'll stick to my books, thank you very much!

I think the Gaston and Lefou pic is great!

Le Cellier still has open spots? Hopefully that means the parks will be somewhat empty when you go!

I LOVE your game!! That is really creative! I hate that I missed the first round, but I was shopping at the Disney Outlet! :woohoo: I can't wait to play next time!

By the way, your drawings are great! I love to draw the characters at DHS. We did that like ten times in a row on our last trip! I don't think I could draw them without help, though!

Crud I missed the first round. I'll try to remember to play next time! Those pictures are great! Anything I draw tends too come out looking.... stick-ish? :rotfl:. I'll be here waiting for the next round and update, and until then I'll be painting my room :cool1:

Thanks! Haha, I like how there's no comment on my flat-faced Belle :thumbsup2

I checked again yesterday. There are still some spots open! I mean, maybe because it's lunch? I don't know. There are really early and later dinner reservations still available. I hope that's a good sign for us!

Thanks! I love your purchases! I have to post mine soon.

The Animation Academy at DHS is so much fun. I thought it'd be a terrible experience, but I specifically wanted to do it for Howard. I didn't realize it'd be fairly easy!

Don't worry, I'll be posting rounds rather often! Haha, if people start realizing my schedule, they'll know that it won't be during church hours or (soon) during school/work hours.

Haha, I think I'm pretty good with making mine look stick-ish too!

Since nobody has gotten it yet, I'm gonna jump in!

#1 - This was a bit of a challenge, but I got it eventually! BAY LAKE TOWER (BLT?) - A

#2 - I distinctly remember this because I pointed it out to you as if you've never seen it before :D EARNING MY EARS - R

#3 - Definitely a google clue! At least for me - BLIZZARD BEACH - H

#4 - MICKEY MOUSE! - Y

#5 - I looked this guy up on imdb and they actually have his work at Disney listed as one of the things he did! MISSION SPACE - P

#6 - Had to google this one too. Not too keen on my Disney restaurants :) VIA NAPOLI - A

#7 - It's a wonder what people did for knowledge before google ... BASIN - S

ARHYPAS - SHARPAY! Woohoo! Haha, like I said, GREAT character to unscramble!

Character Scrambler: Round 2 Answers

Congratulations to HowWeird who got the correct answer of Sharpay from High School Musical! Here are the answers and a little bit more detail for some of them!

Clue #1: Bay Lake Tower = A
Howard and I thought that we'd want to spend our Disneymoon at Bay Lake. However, it just doesn't seem very romantic. It's clean and modern, which we love, but maybe for a future trip. Besides, we looked at the points required for DVC (we plan on renting points). Uh, no thanks! Haha, AKV it is!

Clue #2: Earning My Ears = R
I've mentioned it in the past, but it bothers me so much to see them squished in there! It reminds me of how they used to bind the feet of the women in China! Haha, I don't know how or why, it just does!

Clue #3: Blizzard Beach = H
I'm never going to go to Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. I don't like water slides because I don't like going underwater! The only thing I like is the lazy river, and thankfully, Orange Lake Resort has one on property! I wonder if it'll be warm enough during one of those days in February!

Clue #4: Mickey Mouse = Y
No need for an explanation, it's Mickey!

Clue #5: Mission Space = P
I have never been on this ride, and I don't know if I ever will. Maybe one day I'll try the green side!

Clue #6: Via Napoli = A
I just recently watched Lou Mongello's video on YouTube on opening day where he got to try all the foods on the menu! Yummy, it looks so good! I think it's cute (yet slightly scary) how they have the ovens that are shaved like heads! The chefs put the pizzas in their mouths!

Clue #7: Basin = S
Since we were rushed out of Downtown Disney in April by my dad, I know I will definitely stop by Basin during this trip! I most likely won't buy anything, but I know so many DISers love it that I have to just see it for myself!

Lastly, the reason why I chose Sharpay is because I'm a huge fan of High School Musical 3! Haha, I don't particularly care for Sharpay or ... um, the name of the girl who plays her who had a nose job, but I figured it was a somewhat easy yet difficult name to unscramble because it's so unique. Anyway, HSM3 is the best in terms of storyline and songs! Recently, I sang to my younger brother Matt (it was related to the conversation), "I'm with her, don't stop me, I'm not the paparazzi!" He looked at me as if I had 3 heads and then he said, "Oh, High School Musical?" I said, "Yup. THREE!" Haha, he hates that I play the HSM3 soundtrack so much at home. Howard and I also have listened to it a few times in the car so we could sing along to it too! When he's being annoying at home, I turn on the music on my computer and pull out my earphones so it can come through the speakers. Aren't I a lovely big sister?

Dole Whip Float Money Secured!

Yesterday was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Okay, so I'm being slightly dramatic, but it really wasn't a fun day. I had a terrible headache, and I was nauseous. I was freezing cold one minute but heated up and sweaty the next. I ended up going back to bed and slept off and on for 6 hours. That was NOT how I wanted to spend my last free Monday before the new school year.

However, this dark cloud had a silver lining! After dinner, my mom told my brother to unload the dishwasher. He didn't want to do and went to get a $1 to pay me to do his chore for him. Unfortunately, I still wasn't feeling well, so I said no. That surprised him, and I said, "I don't feel well; I can't keep bending down and standing up." Well, Matt still didn't want to do it, so he started saying to my mom, "I'll pay you $10 to do it for me." That silly and, yes I'm going to say it, stupid kid! Do you know how much you can get for $10?!? And some of the dishes were already out of the dishwasher because we used them for dinner!

Well, I jumped in and said, "I'll do it for $10," but he meant that for mom only. So I changed my price and said, "Fine, I'll do it for $1.25." I told him that the extra 25 cents was extra since I didn't feel well. He gave me the dollar and could only find a dime, so he ended up giving me $2 instead!

Woohoo!!! That means I now have enough money for that yummy Dole Whip Float!!! Wonder if I can get Matt to supply the money I'll need to pay for Le Cellier ... haha. Okay, I'll be more realistic ... the cheddar cheese soup from Le Cellier!

oh I missed out on that last scrambler.. I'll have to try out the next one :goodvibes

I am a HUGE HSM fan too!! I love all three movies, but agree with you - the third one has just little bit more - and I have an itunes playlist of all three soundtracks! :cool1:
Did you hear rumours of a possible 'Sharpay: The Movie' ?! :cutie:
