What has been your experience with the quick service plan? This is what it looks like for us:

Yesterday I finished all the calculations for our WDW trip this week. I ended up saving more than I thought I would! It could be even more, if I wanted to always have the most expensive meal on the menu.

We are 1 adult and 2 kids, 5 nights. I found that the kids plan is a very good deal.

My mom is coming along, also on the quick service plan, and she is saving at least $50.

My conclusion is that if you plan it right, you can average out about $50 to $60 savings per person on the quick service plan, for 5 nights. My $180 is already taking into account an out of pocket lunch that will not be covered when we arrive. So technically, it's more like a $200 savings.

Would love to see your math on your Mom. I can see how you are saving money because of the kids...all you have to do is let them have adult meals instead of kid's meals, but I'm not sure how you're saving so much with just one adult.

Actually, my kids are having kids meals, no adult meals what so ever.

The way I'm calculating for my mom, I'm including what she would spend on drinks, (cost of mug, and 1 drink per day). There is no good way to calculate this. She will have more than one drink a day, so it averaged out had I left the cost of the mug out.

We are aiming for $5 snacks average, I believe it was $18 per meal (entree + beverage). I looked at all the restaurants we wanted to eat, and looked at the best value dish that she would like to have, and drink. She doesn't drink sodas, so when they had the Smart water ($$) we planned for that. We selected the meals to fall around that average. Some were right on, some were more, some were less. But it came out to about $50.

Some of the restaurants we have planned:
- Pecos Bilk
- Columbia House
- Satu'li
- Flame Tree
- Restaurantosaurus
- Tangerine Café
- Liberty In
- ABC Commissary

I was surprised too. I thought we would be either even or losing some $.
