I wanted to let you other Disney Fans know that we saved right at $2,000 off Disneys price on early booking for the May 27, 2006 -Costa Maya DCL 7 night cruise from DUL(Dreams Unlimited)! :cool1: :goodvibes :rotfl: :cheer2: :teeth: That is booking a cat 5 deck 7 for 2 adults and 2 kids. We are just so happy to have found such a deal and wish to pass this Wonderful news on to others. So I bet no matter what cat you book you will save big on this cruise :grouphug:

I am tired right now but its about $4700. If I am not misstaken. :sunny: I think Disneys price right now is about $6700, or around that. :earboy2:
I hope if you think its a great deal maybe other Disney Fans can go on the same cruise :cloud9:

I am paying $3800.00, plus a $200.00 onboard credit, for two adults and one child, Cat 6. I don't really see much of a difference in Cat 5 or 6. This is Jan. 14th. 7 night western. Is that a good price?

Yes there is a big differnce between sail date prices for DCL. Jan., Sept. Oct are low seasons and therefore if you can go then you will for sure get the lowest rates possible but at the end of May through part of Aug the prices go up!!!!! Thats why I wanted to pass on the great rate for that time of the year.
Go look on Disney web site or All seasons web site which both show prices and ck price for 2006 Jan and then for May 27 and June, etc. the price goes up for summer when kids get out of school and also around Holidays. Thats why we were so happy to get such a great deal that won't effect my oldest son who will be in K- next year.
The cad 6 price would have been $200 less then what we paid. Its really good deal I think for those of us who want to try and keep kids in school.

I just went to DCLs web site and I can book 2 adults and 2 children...under 13 for 5022.00 plus taxes and fees. If whom ever you booked thru told you retail for the family of 4 is 6700.00 I'd be careful......they don't seem to be to truithful to me......Cat. 6 is even 200.00 less....good luck!!

I just looked on DCL to see if it had changed and I checked again using 2 adults and 2 young kids. Cost for base price which includes taxes can't get away from that but not including insurance or transfers Cat 5-$6.059, Cat 6-$5,859? I don't know how your came up with such a differenct price from what I see on DCL? for the same date of May 27, 2006 -7 night cruise? Because if you include ins and trans it comes up to a $2,000 savings?
I think DUL gave a great price for this date compared to DCL or go look at even Allseastravel.com there prices are higher too?
If some other readers will check this out and let me know if they see the same prices being much higher for this date? Please let me know.
Thanks

Are the kids you booked for 3 years old or above? You can get a cat 5 stateroom for $4800 on the DCL site or you can pay $6800 depending on how old your kids are. Children under 3 only pay port charges.

Just tried it on Disney web site--for 2 adults, 2 kids, cat. 5, including insurance, not including transfers-

$7,096.44

You got a great deal!!!

Amy

I just checked for you: (I guessed at your kids' ages and put them at 4 & 6)

05/27/2006 7-Night Cruise to Costa Maya Category 05 : Deluxe Stateroom with Verandah $ 7,317.44

05/27/2006 7-Night Cruise to Costa Maya Category 06 : Deluxe Stateroom with Verandah $ 7,117.44

This is DCL's website at 10:27 pm 2/7/05 and includes all taxes, port fees, insurance, and transfers.

Hope it helps!

I just can't help but wonder if this is just a free ad somebody is posting to try and get Dis folks to their web site. Maybe I am just too skeptical, but only 20 post, Joined just a month ago and this great deal that the real pros here didn't know about before? Hmmmm seems odd to me, but then I do work at a mental hospital and lots of things seem odd to me.

Thanks everyone for updates. Don't feel so crazy now :Pinkbounc
Yes I just joined this web site a few weeks ago but I have been searching deals ever since we went on the Land and Sea last year.
But then I have been researching this past year and realized that this cruise pricing is kind of crazy? Don't you think? ( by this I mean - You have to be on the look out of when the best time to book is and always keep checking for better deals.) Thats why when I found this deal for next year I just wanted to pass the good news on.
And also because like I said earlier, when your kids are in school and you can only really go certain times of the year, the prices really sky rocket.
Just tring to pass on a good deal and hope others can maybe join in on it :earsboy:

O.K. let's get this once and for all.....how old are DS's? I called DCL, yes if they are under 13 and over 3 It IS 5022+ taxes and fees....about 186 bucks. Transfers and insurance is not included. I booked a "peak" Western....Thanksgiving....with a cat. 6 and 11 Myself DW and DDs 15 and 13 for less than your 6800.00 quote.....I'll bet you had air and transfers and travel insurance in your quote......I've been a member here for 2 1/2 yearsa nd posted over 1600 times and haven't seen a price difference of more than a "couple hundred bucks"....I have our 5th and 6th already booked.....

May 27, 2006 - Western Caribbean Sailing - Disney Magic
Special Itinerary - Castaway Cay, Costa Maya, Cozumel & Castaway Cay
Stateroom totals, including all port charges and government fees
Double Triple Quad

Category 5 Deluxe Verandah $4400 $5540 $6680
Category 6 Deluxe Verandah $4200 $5340 $6480

I checked with a friend of mine that is a TA, she said she finds it very difficult to believe that the price can be a couple of thousand less. They could even eat thier commission and not get such a low price.
I would love a couple of thousand less for my January cruise!! Send me a quote!!
.

I believe she's looking at the May 27th 2006 Magic cruise which is over $7000 with transfers & insurance included. How do you get $5022?

If anyone can maybe go this date- Just try a quote from DUL on this date and see if there is a big Differnce? And let us know. Then maybe we can meet on the cruise?
Going to bed will check back with you all later.
Goodnight :cloud9:

Dreams Unlimited is the sponsor of these boards. They are the pros! Their prices are always terrific and they give great service. We got prices from DU and Costco for a cruise we are looking into and they were both about $1000 less than DCL website.

We booked with DU in early Jan of this year for our May 2005 cruise. As of right now, if someone tried to book through the DCL site they would be paying $1300.00 more, we got a group rate through DU..great rate...plus great service...just my two cents :Pinkbounc

We booked a year early for our land and sea trip last year, and it was fun for me to go back on the website and price it as we got closer b/c it made me feel like we saved so much! LOL By the time we sailed, we had paid $1000 or more less than the quotes online.

We have this cruise booked as well (May 27, 2006) and booked it in October. We didn't book on our cruise :guilty: so we didn't get a discount, but the price we are paying is $1700 less than what it would be booking online now.

I have read in other threads that cruises that are popular start filling up quickly, and once a certain occupancy is reached, the prices go up. Friends of ours were considering booking it, but decided not to b/c the price is getting so high now.

The quotes for 2 kids in a cat 5 (mine are between 3 and 13) for those dates are DEFINITELY around $7000 now, I just checked it last night! So if you're paying much less than that, congratulations!!!!
