Hi Folks

I don't usually get involved in threads like this but I am concerned by the accusations that the person who started this thread is somehow being less than truthful.

Without giving out any personal information, I can confirm that Disney Fans is indeed a client of Dreams Unlimited Travel.

Thank you Disney Fans for sharing your positive experieince with Dreams Unlimited Travel.

go get em' webmaster john.... :moped:
I love WebMasters they are so "official" :teeth:

We booked a 7 night Western Caribbean, Cat # 6, 2 adults 1-14 year old, no transfers, no air, while on DCL for New Years, we got a $200 onboard credit for booking while on DCL and we are paying w/ Insurance, Tax, Fees etc $3842.54... Is that a Good Rate ?? Oh sorry we leave 1-28-06..

Thanks,

I was not in any way trying to discredit anybody , but did wonder about about such a great bargin. I even said maybe I was too skeptical. They say ya learn something everyday, have to say I did today. Thanks!

There is something flaky going on at the DCL site. We booked the 5/27/06 cruise while on our 10 day. Price was $3276 for two adults in a Cat 7. About a week after we got back someone stated that prices had gone up on the DCL site and sure enough our cat was $1100 more. Checked yesterday when I saw this thread and it was still in the $4200 range but I couldn't remember our exact payment until I checked out a status on Dreams site (we had transferred the ressie to Dreams). This morning the DCL site is showing $3551 for two adults in a cat 7.

Bottom line - book as early as you can and go with a good TA (like Dreams).

I just had dreams price out the exact same cruise, cat 6 for two adults and two children (ages 10 and 17), and was given a price of $6700! You must have booked just at the right time. I really want to take that cruise to celebrate my DS's 10th birthday, but we can not spring for that price. What is your secret? We will be cruising next week and are planning on booking another cruise while on board, but even with the rebooking discount it is still mighty pricey. Any other suggestions, or should we just look for another date?

Thanks!
Laura

No matter what you paid, I hope you have a fabulous trip!

John,
Thanks so much for saying such nice things.
I was only trying to help others find a good deal.

Hey Everyone,
I don't know what prices are going on now but if it has gone up some please keep checking and look out for deals that you read or hear about.
I never hurts to check it out. :earsboy: I think we all are Disney Fans because- well lets face it - We are reading and talking on this site. LOL
Take care and everyone let everyone know if you get a good deal! :earboy2:

Since I am booked on the 5/27/06 cruise, I thought I would jump in on this thread. I booked my cruise back in October when this date opened. I am booked in a cat. 10 with w adults and 2 kids (11 & 15). My price is $3,200. This is without transfers or insurance. the bare bones. I checked the DCL website less than 2 weeks ago and the same exact cruise is over $1800 more at this time. I did get a quote from Dreams, they had a group booking discount and the rooms were quite a bit less. I had thought about upgrading to a Cat. 8, but it was $800 more for a cat. 8 and hubby didn't want me to spend the extra money. A few of the TA's book a large quantity of rooms on board a popular sailing and are able to offer it at a better price. Dreams price was excellent, but that $800 would pay for our airfare.

Hope this helps.

We just booked a 7 day western and the disney site had it $6,389.72 and we are paying 5202.89 through Costco. This $1,000 is a great savings to us

Thanks
judy

good for you! when I was on the wonder the other day I was told by the cruise planner for us a family of four a cat 4 would be $7,000. we ended up booking the week prior at $5,300. I like castaway cay but for that much of a difference we could go to the fla keys for a week. :flower: Now I just have to wait for a fla rate to come out since I transferred it to allseasons..

I'm hesitant to post the deal we just snagged for the 5/27/06 magic cruise, becuase I don't want to be flamed....

We just booked (are confirmed) Wednesday with Barb at Platinum Travel in a Category 11, 2 adults, 2 kids (9 & 11 at time of sailing) for $3130. A savings of $2000 off DCL's website.

Thanks to all the DIS'ers who post their deals- it encouraged me to shop around instead of automatically booking through DCL! As a result, my dh went from "it's a lot of $$" to "book it!!"

Wow! to all of you finding such great deals, Lets keep it up! so that others do know that everyone can find good deals!!! :cool1: :cheer2: I have a feeling that this cruise is going to be sold out before we now it.

mamelle, just for comparision.....I booked my 05/27/06 cruise the day the rates were released. I still have my paperwork here from that day from DCL directly 2 cat 10s for 2 adults, 10,9, 6 and 3 yr old would have been 5503.68, the next special on 06/24/06 would have been 7783.68 as would have been the next after that 07/22/06.Of course I then transferred my ressie over to my TA who saved me even more off of that price! :cool1:
