Since the first of April I put the change from lunch and the snack machine at work in a jar in my desk drawer. I added as little as a penny and as much as 99 cents. Cashed it in yesterday and had $65 in my jar! I never missed the change because I never put it in my pocket or wallet.

So, find somewhere to put the change as soon as you get it and you will have a nice bit of extra money for Mickey bars!

That's great! I love throwing my spare change in a bank or jar for WDW. That money sure does add up fast! Now, if I can just keep the Ice Cream Truck from blaring its music down my street, then we won't dip into the WDW fund for ice cream. ;)

By the way, have a wonderful trip!:Pinkbounc :sunny:

I need to put a change jar up here at work too. I do good at home but I always have change around here that disappears. Before my last trip I had a pig on my desk and whenever I brought lunch or ate it here I put the money I would have spent on fast food in there. Talk about adding up quick - it's amazing how much money you waste on convenience foods.

Good luck everyone! :Pinkbounc

There is another post about , saving change in a jar, who will have the most by dec.

wow am I intune with you all. Today after going to the vending machine. I put my change in a coffee mug on my desk. So now I am going to put all change I get here in that mug. Will add it to the disney fund at home.

My daughter and I just rolled ours last week - and had about $145.00 between the 2 of us. And it was seriously, just the loose change gathered.

I haven't counted my "bills" yet - I try and throw in a 1 or a 5 now and again to "boost the pot".

Another helper is - if you have returnables (we do in Michigan) - instead of applying the $ to my grocery bill - I ask for the money seperately and immediately throw it in the "saving box" too.

We always save quarters, dimes, and nickels! We get about $400 a year. Between the Disney Dollars we periodically buy with our Disney credit card, the rewards card, and change, we never have to bring any extra money to WDW (and we go at least twice a year). For change, we use pennies to get more change back - if something costs $1.51, we give the cashier $2.01 and get two quarters back! It adds up quick.
