Is the bottom photo Foie Gras? Cause I'll admit that looks good...but doesn't it TASTE like liver???

Yes, both are Foie Gras. It tastes like the most delicate steak you've ever had without the grain of steak, but the flavor is very intense.

Rosie, I hate liver but absolutely love fois gras, and other pates.

The Jacques Pepin recipe sounds delicious and I'll definitely give it a try. I did Emeril's and it wasn't so nice. OK, but not fantastic.

Pate goes wonderfully well with dark figs.
