Hi everyone,

Me and DF have decided to save a little cash (we need to the way our costs are spiralling :lmao: ) by doing our own stationery on the computer. I'm just paranoid that they won't look as nice to our guests as professional ones would so I'd like your opinion on the first thing, our 'Save the Date' cards. We're having a Cinderella theme but keeping it a suprise for everyone so we're trying to subtly hint at it with these, then make it more blatent with the actual invitations (ever think too much thought has gone into this???)

What do you think?

I make wedding stationery as my living and I handcraft everything and to be honest with you all my inserts are just printed on my normal printer and they look as good as any shop bought ones, I have had no complaints from any of my brides so I say go for it, it does save you so much money.

I have undercut almost every handmade stationery site I found so I know how expensive it can all be

Good luck in making them they look great I love the castle

Sophie those look fab!! We made loads of our wedding stuff ourselves and no one noticed!!

So adorable... I love them.. DF and I made our own engagement announcements to save money and they came out GREAT..

those are AWESOME! :-) I too made all of my paper stuff for my wedding. my only word of advice is to pint it on good quality paper.

Oh, and where did you get the font you used for the title? it's really cute!

Tehy look great. I am also doing save the date cards, but putting them on magnets. You can buy magnet sheets at any craft store cheaply and print directly on to them. This way your guests can put them on the fridge and have no excuse for missing the wedding since they look at ti everytime they open the fridge!!:rotfl:

Both the fonts are from www.twopeasinabucket.com Click on 'resources' then 'free fonts'. The journalling is called "2peas scrapbook" and is at the top, title is called "Heart's Delight" and is about half way down the list. The little hearts are normally just the background colour but I selected one of the blues from the castle to fill them in.

These are going out on low quality card but the invites themselves will be on much better quality.
