Save the BCV Gelato.

Sorry other post got deleted, no good deed goes unpunished. To make room for new breakfast items at the marketplace the gelato has been done away with. The reason I am even asking this is, a little birdie told me that if enough of us ask for it back they probably will bring it back. So we are able to use the Guest Communications and Member Satisfaction avenues to ask for our beloved gelato back.

My e-mail resulted in a call from Disney today. Unfortunately I was not home and DH took the call. Whoever called left the message that gelato is still available in cups. Not acceptable, especially when I specified in my e-mail that homemade gelato is what I am missing. Wish I had been home to take the call myself.

I sent an email to the member services address provided by the OP, and also got a phone call today. We weren't home, so they left a message saying the same thing. Hand scooped gelato wouldn't be available - just prepackaged gelato...whatever that means. Guess I'll just have an extra Mickey bar in the park.

What they mean is that they are selling small (and I mean VERY small) cups of prepackaged Gellato from an Orlando company in only three flavors. They are no longer making Gellato themselves (which they served in much larger sizes for the same price as the smaller container in the dary case).

Come on DVCers, keep the pressure on to bring back decent Gellato.

Emailed this morning at 7:00 am, and received a phone call at 2:30 today, but I was at school, so here goes:

1. Homemade gelato - they will make 1 flavour, and will be pre-packaging this for sale, along side the third party gelato

2. Hurricane Hannas - will now we serving prepackaged gelato as well

3. BCV Marketplace - have already begun expanding the area in order to offer more selections

Travis said he appreciated my feedback, and left a very detailed message mentioning the above info, as well as other info that was mentioned above. He actually did read my email thoroughly, as he mentioned a few things I discussed, as well as the fact that I already noticed that they are selling other gelato from another company.

As both a DVC member and English teacher, I appreciated his thorough, efficient and prompt response!

This is good news but only one flavor? Perhaps it will rotate - I vote for Lemon, which the local vendor does not supply. I really don't like the idea that they are pre- packaging it. If it is bad, we need to start a boycott of the BCV marketplace.

I received a call from Member Satisfaction today. Amy said they had gotten several e-mails regarding the BCV gelato issue. She said they are forwarding our thoughts to Beach Club Food and Beverage. No promises, ofcourse, but we need to keep our e-mails going.
