Save PUSH! Last day is Saturday!

Not going to lie seems very unlikely Push will leave, he's very low budget compared to the retiring Epcot acts (that may be retiring because of age). It just doesn't seem realistic that Push is leaving

I saw someone I follow on Twitter mention something about contract negotiation, so that's probably likely. But that doesn't mean PUSH is going away for certain.

Removing the current Push to replace him with a new Push that interacts with the RFID aspect of the MagicBands would be a good way to leverage that technology in the parks. Maybe not a direct replacement and maybe not right away but something similar that interacts on a more personal level. Looking back at the living character initiative from a few years ago it would be a perfectly logical next step.

I'm willing to wait and see what kinds of things get rolled out in the next 2-5 years in relation to NextGen before making any real judgement about it.
Ok that makes a lot of good sense, great idea!

My son and I saw PUSH for the first time last October. We were walking through from fantasyland to tomorrow land and walked by stitches great escape going towards the castle and there he was. Funny thing is we were just talking about how we had never seen him before. It was quite funny and entertaining!!! I hope it's not true!! The kids truly enjoyed it!!

We LOVE Push! :( What would Walt have said about this?

Walt was all about change, you know. The cliche 'Walt would never stand for this!!!!' argument that pops up every time anything is changed is about the weakest point you can make.

Thanks! I sent an email! Honestly - Push is likely the reason behind several of our ice cream/smoothie purchases (it's hard to spend a few minutes with Push by the door and not be sucked in by the smell!) - so he sure has us spending money! More than we would have if he wasnt there!

I love how people can still say "Just wait, something new will replace it" in response to every cut. How many years have to go by before we can call a cut a cut?

I'll miss PUSH. He was one of my girls' favorites and a great way to pass the time with my youngest who still sits out Space and Stitch. But I don't expect to see a new and improved version, any more than I believe a great new parade is going to come to Studios or that the Lights of Winter will be back in a new, technologically advanced form.

I keep telling you; it's new Disney theming!

Give 'em less............Charge 'em more.

He didn't get rid of things people loved.....look at Mickey. ;)

Sweet baby Jesus in the manger...miyuki's been canned???

WTH is happening??

I'm behind PUSH 100% but hearing about Miyuki has been more heartbreaking for me.

I hope she's off teaching other girls how to do the candy art. I remember her mentioning one time that she was the only woman ever to know how to make those wonderful creations.

Rumor or not I just finished my email to Disney. #savePUSH

Disney is rooted in special experiences and attention to detail. While I hope this is just a rumor and I "wasted" 10 minutes of my life I feel it is worth it to let Disney know that these special experiences and attention to detail is why many people continue to return to their parks.

I am growing ever so weary of all the cuts in Disney entertainment and those little magical experiences. Sadly, new visitors will have no idea what they are missing. The money saving measures are beginning to interfere with the enjoyment of the Disney parks for me. I have heard all the Disney excuses over the years, from we need to provide new and fresh things to contract negotiations. In truth, the attention to detail and the entertainment experiences bring in no direct income. Disney always says it will replace things, but they rarely do. Very sad what current Disney management is doing to the parks. I'm still missing the Living Statutes, the Lights of Winter, and Wes Palm at the AK.

I know Push leaving has not been confirmed yet, but I believe that it is true. This seems to be part of more entertainment cutbacks....The Ziti Sister, the candy lady. :furious: A Boardwalk performer who had been there more that 10 yrs was also let go last May. I know countless emails were sent to WDW to try and save him but it did not work. WDW is having to pay these long term entertainers more money so they are letting them go. My family choose to stay at BWI because of the entertainers but last trip the shows on the Boardwalk were awful and we will not return. Maybe WDW will soon realize how frustrating this is to its guest and stop the maddness!

My family had a great experience with PUSH our last trip, and we will be disappointed if the rumor turns out to be true.

I don't think I would know about PUSH and/or some of the other special performers in the parks if it weren't for sites such as this, and that is their biggest disadvantage. Disney can remove these special experiences without impacting the majority of those that visit the parks.

I agree - the first time we encountered PUSH we were totally surprised and our kids went crazy laughing. It was one of those moments that you absolutely don't plan on your trip, but makes you so glad you are there. Since that time we always get a chuckle watching first-timers be surprised. PUSH will be missed!!
