Save $$ on tickets through Disney's YES program!

The ones for our time look cool! Do you have to pay to register? Can you still get discount on tickets if you have a package with free dining?:confused3

thanks

The first class is free. Additional ones are 26 dollars. You purchase tickets at the time you register. The tickets available are based on your length of stay. We got 8 Day Park Hopper®with 8 Additional Visits to Disney Water Parks, or DisneyQuest® Youth Market for $208.92. I think you would have to either choose the discounted tickets with the class or the free dining. You would have to crunch the numbers to see which is best for you. Room only with no discount with "class" tickets VS package with free dining. Good luck!

the website says the tix are valid 7 days prior to arriving date and 7 days after departure date.

I am kind of confused with that. Please help me understand

Say we arrive on june 13th and depart june 23rd. The program is on 22nd. How would that work with the tickets? In other words can we use up all the days before the program on 22nd since we leave on 23rd or is it 7 days prior to program date?

Thanks

That is only when you purchase for 10 or more people. I believe you can use the tickets from the 13th to the 23rd BUT it is MANDATORY that you attend the class to get the discounted tickets. I am guessing if you don't attend they will charge you the full amount for the tickets later. You may want to call Disney to be sure.

No, you only need one child and one adult minimum. If you have a group of 10 or more there is another link you use to book your class and tickets. I signed up with one child and one adult. You can add more children but I think only one adult for all the kids. That is for the class. You can get tickets for your whole group though. So let's say it is you and your husband and 5 kids. You can have at a minimum one child sign up for a class and one adult to chaperone that one child in that class, then you can buy tickets for all 7 people.

Here is some additional information they give you after you register:

Your registration holds your place in the program, but does not guarantee the program will reach its minimum. Minimum number of guests required to facilitate the program is ten (10). When the minimum is reached you will receive an e-mail reconfirming the date and time of your program. If the minimum is not reached, you will be contacted (5) five business days in advance and rescheduled based on availability of alternate programs. Registration fee is non-refundable.

All orders will be verified prior to payment processing. Should there be any discrepancies in your order, you will be notified via phone or e-mail.

Changes to your order must be made in writing via fax or email 48 hours prior to your arrival at the Will Call Window.

Please note, parking is not included with your ticket. Current price to park at a Walt Disney World Theme Park is $14 for a car and $18 for a bus. Prices are always subject to change without notice.

The charge will appear on your credit card statement as "Walt Disney Event Services."

Please Note: All tickets purchased through the Youth Department will have "YOUTH" printed on the back. These tickets are valid for all members of your party, including adult chaperones.

Specially-priced Theme Park tickets of 10 or more, must be reserved in advance, and are valid 7 days prior to arrival until 7 days after group’s main departure date (theme park tickets only). Some activities/events at Walt Disney World® Theme Parks may be separately priced. Is This for anyone or just big groups. I only have one child but she would love some of these classes.

Does anyone know if you have to use a day on your theme park ticket to attend the class since the classes take place in the parks. I noticed that the morning classes meet outside the park-just wondering if this will count as one of our 8 days on our 8-day tickets.

Yes, you need to use a ticket to take the class. you meet on the outside of the park but then enter the park for the class thereby using your ticket. If you don't purchase park hopper tickets then plan accordingly with the class you pick because if you take a class in EPCOT that is the only park you will be able to go in that day. If you get park hoppers than you can have a class in EPCOT but hop over to another park after the class.

The first class isn't free. When you recieve your invoice you will see that there was a 30 dollar non-refunadable fee built into the price. It charged when I checked out.

There is a great thread on the budget board with all the rules and information for this program.

You have to buy a one day YES ticket in addition to the tickets you purchase with the free dining promotion. Think of it this way. Each has a minimum ticket requirement; free dining has a 2 day requirement and YES classes have a 1 day requirement. The difference is that the 2 day tickets you purchase with free dining do not have expiration dates on them so if you really want to participate in a YES class when taking advantage of free dining then you can purchase discounted length of stay tickets through the YES program, reduce the tickets that you're purchasing with your package to 2 day tickets and then keep those 2 day tickets for a future trip. This isn't a great option if you're only doing the class for the immediate ticket savings but it's a viable option if you're really wanting the class and at some point in the future you might do a room only resort reservation (or offsite or DVC point rental).

Many people see it as free since that $30pp is already included in the ticket price that's shown on the ticket option screen. You're right that it's not but with the fee the tickets are still cheaper than gate price so the perception is understandable.

Totally understandable. I just point that out when I can because I was confused what the charge was when I received my invoice.. until someone explained it to me:)

So if I did this- and got 2 days tickets with my free dining package and went back to WDW next summer - for example - can I upgrade my 2 days tickets (I'd have 4 of them) to be for 7 days and pay the difference between a 2 day ticket and a 7 day ticket?

That YES program sounds great btw!

I didn't see the $30 charge. It must be really hidden on my online invoice...or is it in one they send you through the USPS mail?

But really it doesn't get me down because since I haven't gotten any lovely pins for free dining or reduced room rates I am tickled to get tickets at these prices! :yay: At least I am saving money!

I'm looking into this option for our next trip, if they do not get the minimum needed for our class and it's cancled, are we still able to use the tickets?
