We're driving down from NC, straight shot down I-95. I have an awesome plan! We're going to leave early (5-6am), and that'll put us in Savannah in time for lunch at the Lady and Sons restaurant (Paula Deen). I should probably go light knowing we're gonna chow down at Disney, but man, I bet it'll be so good!!!

I don't want to put a damper on your plans, but you need to be in line early in the morning to get a reservation for that day. On a typical day, you usually cannot just walk up and be seated

FYI----If you want to go to Lady and Sons for the experience, then you should. But it is not a highly recommended place for the food/price. Trip Advisor customers which has hundreds of respondents typically rate it in the 80-90 range for best restaurant in Savannah.

You'd definitely have to be in line by 9AM to get close to a lunch reservation, so best of luck! If you don't get in, try her brother's restaurant, Uncle Bubba's. I think the food is much better and you may run into Bubba.

My daughter goes to college in Savannah so we've been to the city a few times...and nearly every local we've ever talked to never recommends that place. "Strictly for the tourists...." they say, and it doesn't really give folks a good flavor of the fare available in such a great city.

I was actually surprised at how pedestrian the outside looks. Just stumbled upon it while walking around and its was pretty average looking for a place that so many talk about.
