Savannah View Smoking Rooms

Does anyone know where the smoking rooms are located with regular Savannah View? Are their some on each trail, or are they all together?

Hi...

There has been some discussion on this before - but I believe the smoking savanna view rooms are at the very end of Zebra, Kudu, Giraffe & Ostrich trails... the -L O N G- walk from the lobby.

I'm thinking my DH will have to find the designated public areas rather than us be put out in the middle of nowhere. It could be dangerous being by ourselves in the middle of Africa!!!

I think you will be safe at the ends of the trails and in good company.. many of the 1 & 2 bedroom suites are down there.

Did you change your mind about concierge? I recall heated discussions about concierge and the sunrise safari.

Actually the best animal views I have had yet were from a smoking room. Maybe it is because they are at the end. Did not really think about that.

Hi all

We stayed in a smoking savannah view room on the 4th floor last May. It had a great view - we were on Zebral trail and had a watering hole right below our balcony.

I don't remember our room number but it was near the end of the corridor - however - there is an elevator a short walk away that will take you down to the Pool area and once there a short walk to Mara and Boma's as well. The only time we went to the main lobby is when we were going to the bus stop.

Please know that there is ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING ON ANY OF THE SAVANAH VIEW BALCONIES. Including those in Smoking optional rooms.

Last May there were ashtrays available for the tables by the Pool Bar and also near the bus stop.

I hope this helps - we did not find being at the end of the corridor to be that big a deal -

We had a deluxe Savannah view smoking room #5595. It was at the very end of the trail and looked out toward the back of the resort. Our panorama was huge and we could see across the Arusha savannah to the end of the other trail all the way over to the back part of the other side savannah. The savannah gets a bit smaller in front of these rooms and the animals all seem to pass through here. There were loads of animals sleeping, playing running through here. It was also quiet back here with not many people needing to come down all that way. We all loved it here.
