Zooming in on the eyes of the person in the ring camera it looks like they are female to me, based on the curve of the eyebrows you can see and the eyelashes look like they have mascara.

Was the ransom money paid yesterday?

No. At least, not to the Bitcoin account that was in the alleged ransom note that was sent to various news stations. It can be seen when any deposit is made to it. Savannah may have been in touch with the kidnapper in other ways that have been undisclosed. So, maybe he used a different account that she sent ransom to. Yet, various former FBI profiling experts, going off Savannah's three videos, (as the sheriff & FBI aren't disclosing anything,) believe Savannah was never sent proof of life. That's why she changed from talking to whomever they thought sent the notes, or found those notes were a hoax after all, to addressing the general public in asking for help.

In her last video she said, if there is someone near you whose been acting strange, unusual or different this past week, call the police.

If this kidnapper is working alone, and IF Nancy is still alive, he's had to go back and forth to where he is holding her and feeding her. He may be acting out of his norm by disappearing at unusual times.

If you look at the mouth area, it shows a dark mustache on top and possibly a goatee on the bottom peaking through. Plus, his shoulders look kind of massive.

It looks to me like it’s some kind of flashlight in their mouth, not necessarily a mustache goatee. The feet look small but I agree the shoulders look big. The doorbell cameras also have usually a fish eye effect to get a wider view which would make the the shoulders bigger since they are in the center of the image and the feet smaller since they are at the bottom.

When you look at the full surveillance video, this looks planned enough that the guy wore a new(ish) face covering and a new backpack that doesn't have any creases on it from being used. Yet, he walks up to the door and was about to knock when he sees the Nest camera and is surprised one is there. He is rattled for a second. He turns, walks away, wondering what to do, then bends down to the garden area and grabs some shrubs to try to put in front of the camera.

So, while this was planned, it wasn't planned enough to have known Nancy had a front door camera.

Although he's wearing a ski mask ... when you look closely at the photo you can see a prominent mustache in the photo above. It wasn't a second face covering underneath because of the divet in the mustache right at the center above his upper lip, called the philtrum. It also appears he has dark facial hair both above and below his lips.

And those can indeed be used without a subscription. We're doing that with two Nest cameras ourselves. The camera will take a photo when it sees movement, and send you an alert so you can watch the livestream, but it will not make a video recording. Or at least, not one that we can access without a subscription. Perhaps there actually is video footage being streamed to Google's servers and that's how the FBI was able to get some video in addition to the still shots if Mrs. Guthrie wasn't paying for a monthly subscription.

Thanks, I have a cat. When I go away on vacation for an extended period, I want to have a cat sitter or two come in to feed her every day. I want to have a good camera that I can watch to make sure they do show up every day. Yet, I don't want to send an arm & a leg for a subscription I only will need for a short period of time.

100000% thought the same thing, but it looks like there's a mustache there also. Kinda has a masculine build as well.

You'll want video in that situation, so check for companies that offer monthly plans. I'm pretty sure you can still do a month-by-month subscription for Nest cameras without paying for a whole year.

Keep in mind at least with what's been released we don't know if the person who tampered with the camera is the same person who could have committed whatever crime that could have been committed.

So to me I'm still keeping all of the options in mind like I mentioned before. I do think if they recognized the person's build, mannerisms it would then be odd to release the video to the public that does not rule out everything.

Also it does appear they were doing more in-depth searching of Annie's home and surrounding area which is where Nancy was at the night before. This is routine I'm sure.

The sheriff’s department acknowledged law enforcement was present at the homes of Annie and Nancy Guthrie over the weekend and said this would continue as officials expanded “the search and follow-up on new leads.”

Are you sure that's a mustache and not a shadow cast by the mask?

In my opinion, that area is too dark to just be a mask shadow. Especially the one under the bottom lip. Shadows aren't all one dark color, there are gradients of dark shadow color due to some light still cast or reflecting on areas.

Also, a little while ago, ABC News also described the person as a man with facial hair. . . Although, if those of us who think it's a mustache/facial hair are wrong, including the FBI if they think it too, we just gave the guy an escape. No one would be looking for someone as a normally clean shaven guy. No one would call that tip in.

The problem with facial hair is that it can be shaved off. Like if it were me, I would just shave off my facial hair so that nobody would be looking for me. KWIM? It's like how I just watched Roofman....why didn't he just grow a really big beard or something? For men, it's so easy for them to change up their looks by simply shaving off or growing facial hair. I wish they had more of a lead. I really hope and pray that somebody recognizes his eyes and decides they want reward money (or better yet, to do the actual right thing!!!) more than protecting somebody they know.

If you look at the photo that shows the suspect’s feet, you can see the one foot takes up the length of one of the floor tiles. That gives a good guess of the shoe size

The problem with facial hair is that it can be shaved off. Like if it were me, I would just shave off my facial hair so that nobody would be looking for me. KWIM? In Savannah's last video, she even said, if there is anything out of the ordinary, even the slightest thing, call the police and report it. Guys in that area with big broad shoulders suddenly shaving off their facial hair may be enough for someone calling him in.

This reminds me of the Luigi killing the Insurance CEO case. The one outstanding feature the police/FBI put out was that the suspect had dark bushy eyebrows. And that was how Luigi was spotted by a fellow customer in that McDonalds in PA.

The police later showed the contents of Luigi's backpack. In it, he had a To Do list which even said to himself to pluck his eyebrows. Had he done that before the shooting, he might never have been caught. But, even if he did it afterward, when he finally made it back home, people who loosely knew him may have wondered why he suddenly plucked his brows? He could have joked it off, "OMG! That description sounds like ME! I didn't want the police coming here looking at me." But, my guess is someone would have called it in because the plucking was so soon after the shooting.
