We are arriving soon, would like 800 loop and satellite reception for rooftop dome. Any suggestions?

Request an open site because trees are plentiful in 800. You could also request the newer side of 600 loop built out in the open near the Meadow Trading Post if you must have your satellite tv.

Can you take your dish off and set it somewhere close by? I've seen that done with some rooftop systems. It will give you more flexability in finding a signal.:happytv:

We were in the 800 loop 2 years ago and had no problem with our satellite.
We were in 600 this year and again had no problem with our satellite.

i'm not sure what your setup is but you might want to look into a small portable dish for the times when you end up under a tree. I have considered a crank-up dish for the MH even ran the cable when I did the roof but I'm still using my Weingard Carryout. It doesn't get as strong of a signal as the tripod I had but it is a lot easier to transport.

It is hit or miss, I was in the 500 loop and had no problem getting a 80-90% on all transponders. But then this year in the 1800 loop I got at best 60%. Still enough to find channels beyond the limited disney cable selection.
