Satellite Falls question

When I last cruised in 2013 with kids, I somehow overlooked the existence of this area on the Fantasy! Since then I've seen pictures and read about it and definitely want to check it out in August. But, silly question .... where do you enter that area from? In looking at photos I can't tell! And does anyone have thoughts about crowds, best time of day to plan on being there, etc? TIA.

There is a ladder by the adult pool, that enters at the aft end of the Satellite falls area.

its more a set of stairs than a ladder but it is by the adult pool. entrance is just past cove cafe, opposite side of the adult bar. if you know where the smoking section is and your going up those stairs your going in the right direction. very easy to get to.

Sorry on ships they are called ladders and when inside a stairwell.......................However you are right...its a staircase, port side.....left side of the vessel.

The Satellite Falls area is huge (at least on the Fantasy) and we've never had a problem finding chairs. It's my absolute favorite spot on the ship! It is heaven when they bring around the cool, wet towels.

Now, the adult pool area at the bottom of the stairs is another story - seating there is limited and I have seen "chair holders".

I find SF is wonderful early in the morning. I go there when I wake up to fo yoga and have my coffee. When we were going into Cozumel last year was able to watch us being escorted into the port by a school of Dolphins, it was really cool. We missed it our first time on the Fantasy too. I think it's the best part of the ship. I've never seen chair hogs up there either. Enjoy your cruise.

We have always been able to find chairs at SF. It is a really nice area but tends to be very windy when the ship is moving. There are loungers in the sun and many in the shade. Just walk up the stairs near the adult pool (Deck 11) and continue up to Deck 13 and walk forward. Hold on to your hat/visor while walking to the front of the ship due to wind. You can also take the forward elevator all the way up to Deck 13. Exit interior of ship and make a right and keep walking.

never had an issue with chairs. there are a ton. added bonus is you can find them in the sun or in the shade, which ever you want.
i'm not sure if its that people still don't know its there or if there aren't that many adults who can go because of children or even if the preference is to not be so high on the ship but i've never seen a crowd up there. add to that its a quite area and i'm in heaven.

SF is only on the Fantasy. The Dream does not have it but rumors are they may add it to the Dream. The Dream has some chairs up there but not the water feature.

When we found SF I said, "This would be the best place on the ship if it had a hot tub - but if it had a hot tub, it would no longer be the best place on the ship." ('cause other people would find it!)

We were also able to find chairs in SF pretty easily.

The addition of SF to the Dream has been confirmed during the ship's dry dock Oct 4-24th 2015.

That relatively short walk can be quite the workout going against the wind on sea days. LOL!

This is the area where a lot of people who are more prone to motion sickness go to sleep the morning/afternoon after a night of particularly rough seas. My wife slept up there for 3 hours on our first cruise after the first night's wild ride. There were about 20 other people doing the exact same thing.

It sure can be windy, anytime any vessel is heading into the wind, you have to add the vessels speed and windy force to get the correct speed.

If you want to know how windy, check out your television. The bridge report channel will give you the apparent wind.
