Sat pm restaurant?

I have an ADR for Whispering Canyon for the Sat night of our Aug stay. We're staying at the Contemporary, no park hoppers and will be at MK that day (am - afternoon break - pm for Wishes). WCC seems to have such varying reviews. With DD being 12, I wonder if she'll feel "too old" to enjoy in the fun.

Where would you suggest we try?

Our son was 12 when we ate dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe last August. We were seated just outside the main restaurant seating which was okay with us. He still got to participate in the whole "I NEED KETCHUP!" game. Our food was delish!
