I am looking at them for invitations, I just sent a request for an estimate. Has anyone used them? How are they to work with? How are their prices? How long do they take? Quality? etc. They have some pretty cute stuff, that is different then the Carlton card line. DF hates the white/ivory embossed Carlton card choices, but I still want something Disney.

Thanks!

I was going to use Sassy Design Co. but I only spoke to the gal once and sent quite a few e-mails and after 2 months still didn't get a response. I know that they might have been busy but that was no excuse to ignor your customers.

I went with Shelly from impressions even though the cost was quite a bit more than I would have like to spent. However, my invitations came to me quickly and I love them!
Here is her website: http://www.fairytalewedding.com/

Good luck!

I didn't realize that Shelly did custom invitations. I had seen her site before, but missed the custom part. We really like the hidden mickey invitations and the Fairytale come try invitations on Sassy Design. I wonder if Shelly could do something like that. Did you do custom with her? Would you mind if I asked how much? (if you don't feel comfortable posting, feel free to PM or email me, or tell me to mind my own business!)

Thanks for posting! I want to hear the good and the bad.. anything from anyone who has used, or tried to use Sassy Design would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have used Jen at Sassy designs, i know she had a major problem with her emails not working for quite a while! I only found out as i phoned her to see if she got my email.

I had my save the dates from her already, which i was really happy with and they worked out about $3 each which was far cheaper than i was being quoted for by impressions!

Im still waiting for my invites, but the price i have for those including the rsvp cards and shipping to the UK for 15 invites is about $55.

Jen did DD invites and they were absolutely beautiful. She does great work and is so reasonably priced.
She did have some trouble with emails but DD felt it was worth it!
Be patient, & start early to save on stress!

I sent her an email about a month ago, and she responded the next day...and was going to start working on designs; however, that was the last I heard from her!

I do really want to work with her, because I have seen some amazing stuff she has done! I have also heard her prices are extremely reasonable~

We went with Shelly from impressions as well, I so would NOT recommend her. She was always late getting back to us (our invites went out late as well) Plus she over charged so much. Her Mickey boarder invites are cute but not work 1200 for only 60 (UGH)...Once we got the price from her (which she would not give us an estimate up front) it was almost to late to select a design we could afford.

hmm, people have had different experiences both good and bad with both, I think. We used Shelley at Impressions and she was wonderful! I had great communication with her...e-mails almost daily. She really worked with us for options. I agree she's a little pricey, especially when you can get the carlson craft invites elsewhere for a discount, but we used her addressing and mailing services and it really saved us a lot of stress. We REALLY wanted the Mickey pixie dust invites, but the price was just too outrageous (although if we had had the extra $$, we would have spent it...too cute and it would have been worth it to us). We ended up with "marriage message from mickey" invites, plain pearl border response cards, and custom reception cards. I made our thank you cards, so that saved some $$ there...

She also made sure that I ordered my invites in time to go out when I wanted them to...I wanted my rsvp's due aug. 15, and I think they were mailed around jul. 10 or so...

wendy46001 I'm sorry you had such a bad time with her!

Heather, I would maybe call/e-mail Shelley just to check her out!

hth!

I have been working w/ Jen at sassy- if you have time and can be patient it will be worth it. Meanwhile at one point I contacted Impressions - a phone call (left a message) and at least 2 possibly 3 unanswered emails this was late April or early May, I got a package with samples from them in the mail last friday. No call or email, just this packet, of course I loved what she did but I I thought that was crazy too.

I tried to work with Jen at Sassy but got caught in the email troubles as well. At some point I heard there was a problem with her server. I understood, gave her time but still haven't heard anything. We had been working with her for about 4 months. We decided to go with someone from ebay who also did the Believe design, but haven't heard from them either (after payment was received). We're now working on the invites ourselves. So my advice is, if you're going the custom route have some plan Bs, Cs and maybe Ds.

We used Jen and were very happy with our invitations. We are the Cheryl & Keith on the Believe sample on her website. :bride: pirate: They are even more beautiful in person and so appropriate for a Disney wedding. I thought the cost was great since we didn't need that many and she priced them by the quantity.
