Today is my first day with my new teaching partner. I am cautiously optimistic, but only time will tell. We just don't have the same chemistry as the last one.
In other news, my classroom fish, Monty, tried to commit suicide yesterday. It's true! I was cleaning out his bowl and had placed him in a cup of water(trying to distract one of my students who still cries all morning long at school). As I am rinsing through the gravel and showing the kids how we clean Monty's house, he jumps out of the cup and prostrates himself on the countertop!
He just could not tolerate the noise any longer! It was beyond what a small fish could bear. I got him back in the water, and he actually looked a bit thankful after his brush with death, although I decided to give him a vacation in the pre-K room where there are no criers.
Sheesh! Monstrous parents, quitting teachers, suicidal fish - what more will this year bring? 
It's my wedding anniversary - It's been 14 years! Angie, isn't it yours too? If so,

Maybe I am just jealous
It's just not the same driving a rental. I was always nervous someone would hit me. Oh well, I guess that's what insurance is for.
