Sassy Somethings - Happy November

Good day, ladies! We are back from second swim practice, armed with berries. Bonnie - we go to a berry picking farm, they provide the containers. Although I wouldn't mind a small berry pail as a fashion accessory. I hear they are all the rage in Milan.

Becca - what a bummer about your phone! But, I am sure Jimmy Hoffa needs a phone, so you've done a good deed for your fellow (dead) man.:thumbsup2

Angie - what did you think of the Top Chef result? I liked that Stephanie won, I just wished Richard hadn't choked. I liked him a lot and wanted to see him succeed. He seemed to lose steam about 3/4 of the way through the season. I felt sorry for him at the end - he looked teary.

Tricia - what's on tap for this week? Are you all halfway done with summer now?

Judi - 27 is a horrible number for blood sugar! Great for an age, not a blood glucose. You tell that woman to eat or I'll come up there and be Nurse Ratchet.

Heather- puppy update, please!

Hi Rella and Julie! As a introduction, let me tell you that I am 39 (yikes!) years old, mom of two boys who are part fish. Their nicknames are Barney (11) and BamBam (6). They spend many waking hours swimming for their swim teams and I spend just as many hours breathing in chlorine, which I am sure is a healthy pastime.:rolleyes1 Welcome!

Hi Sassy's!

Scott called me about a half hour ago and said that UTMB called him and they want to do a phone interview!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sitting here so excited I can barely type and I have butterflies in my tummy. Please please please let them hire him. We need this so bad. It should be a really great job for him.

Jasmine is doing great. She is really good with Joey in spite of the fact he likes to climb all over her. She still loves me the best but I have also noticed she has alot of love for Katelyn as well. SHe is still puppy enough to chew on things though. She can be sitting right next to 3 of her own toys and a bone and still chew up something of mine....what's with that?

OMG....while I was typing this Scott sent me a text saying he passed the phone interview and now has to meet another nurse in person!:hyper:
I am nearly in tears I am so happy and nervous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey girls! I was off work at 10 and came home and cleaned out my refridgerator. Looks sparkly! Except for the freezer, which I was not in the mood to clean. Now that I am home a lot more I guess I should cook more homemade meals, so I went rooting through my cooking magazines and cook books and wrote down some tasty meals that I will attempt to procure over the next couple of weeks. And since I will be making less money, we are gonna actually eat our leftovers!!

Apparently I am expected to tote my kids every which where this summer. And allow friends to come over, and, since their parents are at work, I have to go pick them up! I was hoping I might get away without doing these types of things! ;)

Hey Bon! It wasn't me on MSN, but it wasn't Brian either he's at work.:confused3

Does your MSN automatically sign you in if you restart the computer? Cause mine does! It did earlier today, in fact, cause the kids rebooted my computer and then it signed me into MSN and a couple people tried to talk to me but I was not there. :(

Happy Monday

Cole's been reading the thread, wanted to know if Bonnie was the one with the hemmorrhoids :confused3 you know Mom the one that was sorry about yours on the envelope of you Christmas card.:santa: Who remembers what Toot wrote on theirs.

:lmao: I can't believe she remembers that. She must have thought I was some kinda kook!!

Bonnie~You suck! 3 hours a day-how do I get that gig? Course since I am the only source of income in our house at the moment that could put a kink in our outlandish lifestyle! ;)

Well, today I worked four hours, but only because I wanted to get a letter out to all the parents. But I must say that so far, it's a mighty fine gig! :thumbsup2

Did you wear your "old straw hat, a suit of overalls and a worn-out pair of shoes"? :rotfl: Ok, that's even assuming you are a person who likes Shirley Temple movies and knows what the heck I am talking about! Glad you got your berries though. What kind were they?

YAY for Scott! :yay: I just said a prayer for you....best of luck with the interview!

Hi Sassies!!! I am pleased to meet you all!! :yay:

I am 38, the mother of a DS9 who wants to be a teenager in the worst way... :(

I am a systems & tech librarian at a liberal arts college in PA. I do have to work summers, but it is much more flexible and I take most of my vacation time in the summer. Like today, I had to run hubby around this AM because 2 of our fleet of carp vehicles were down.
I have to take our new puppy to the vet for some shots this afternoon, do some laundry, and run the weed whacker. If I see a snake, I will

Have a great Monday!!!!
I saw this online....seems fitting....

Bonnie I hear you on the carpooling thing. Same thing goes on around here. Eventually Kelsie will help me out but for now I don't want her driving with anyone but herself unless I'm with her. Oh course she doesn't agree with me on that but I say the least distractions the better.

Judi I'm just having water right now but I do miss my morning coffee chats with you.

Colin is all better. I think the ear infection has left the building. Or at least he says it doesn't hurt any more so it's all good. :thumbsup2

My little Gracie :dogdance: had to get her shots today. She's sleeping like a little princess now.

Tricia~~ I am hopeful we will know something by Wednesday and he can start orientation next week.:hyper: This is the most solid news we have had in a long time. I don't know how Angie has held it together for so long. Scott has only been looking for a little more than a month and I am going crazy.

:dance3: Do ya'll think that these little guys are wearing french maid type hats or do they have white curly hair. I've never figured it out.

It is neither....they are princesses:dance3: and are wearing tiaras:laughing:

I had to backtrack to see what I missed.

Sorry about your cell phone, Becca.

Tricia~~I'm glad Colin is feeling better.

Wilma~~ Hope Barney is feeling better......did you update us and I just missed it?

Welcome to the club, Julie.

Hi Bonnie. I'm glad you are liking your semi-new gig.

Judi~~ Hopefully your mom will continue to eat well and improve.

Angie~~ Sending good wishes to you and your dh. I hope he has some good luck on the job hunt soon.

Hi Rella~~ It's nice to see you here.
 to anyone I missed.:goodvibes

Hey, all! We just had a nasty batch of storms with some lovely gumball sized hail. Sounded like God himself was going to arrive at the door any minute and ask me where the ark was. Of course, then I would have to apologize for forgetting to make it, but he knows me and would know that is par for the course.;) Barney seems to be feeling fine now - maybe he just had morning sickness. We could probably get on Oprah if that was the case.

Hooray Mr. Heather! This is great news! Is it an OR job?

Bonnie - Shirley Temple gives me the creeps. Something about her voice. Not nearly the reaction that I get with beets, but it's up there. I do wear a big, floppy straw hat but no overalls - I would be the vision of dumpiness in those! I got three pounds of bluberries and three pounds of raspberries. Yum!

Becca - Your frog is being a problem. I have fed him all winter and now he is refusing to attend swim practice. I have informed him that he cannot stay if he won't attend practice as I cannot have an unattended frog hanging around the house. As I recall he only travels by Metlife Blimp, so if one happens to stop at your house in the next few days, don't be surprised if your frog comes hopping out. I cannot abide a truculent frog.

Julie - did the puppy wake you up at 5a.m today? We have an old collie (12 years) named Linus who is definitely in the twilight of his years. I don't relish the idea of going through nighttime puppy wakings again!

Angie - did Gertie ever shut up?

Tricia - have you given up coffee entirely? Or just for the a.m.?

Judi - when was the last time you ran amuk? Get on the stick, lady!

Howdy, Rella! What's new?

Hi Wilma..........if you give up Becca's frog, does that mean you will have room for my toads?

The job he is trying to get is an ICU position. He would keep his 3 day a week OR spot for the benefits and work this other job 1 or 2 days a week for the money.

Joey took off all his clothes while he was watching Tom and Jerry and then fell asleep on the couch. I guess he was hot and tired:rotfl:

I'll bet you looked just like Hollie Hobbie. :thumbsup2

Blueberries and raspberries?

OK-I now finally believe you are an alien! You like beets but don't like blueberries and raspberries?? That's unAmerican! ;)

Heather~hooray for Scott! I have a feeling he will get this job! And I haven't held it together this whole time. I was so depressed last week! I just wanted to hide somewhere and cry. :worried:

Wilma~I was happy Stefanie won TC. I would've been happy with Richard, too. Just as long as it wasn't Lisa!

Becca~I want some jam please!! It's a good thing you don't live closer or I'd be even fatter. :sad2:

Judi~I'll take blue duck tape please. It will match her top. :goodvibes

See, Angie? I've been telling you all along that she's from Mars, and you never believed me! Now we have solid evidence!

I don't think I will get to do anything with the berries because these boys of mine are inhaling them so fast my head is spinning. :faint: And yes, Bonnie, I bore a slight resemblance to Ms. Hobbie - you want to make something of it? ;)

Heather - I cannot take in your toads. My heart has been broken by this frog and there is only so much a girl can take.:(

I'm Back :cool1:

Angie, Mr. Angie will find a job soon. I know God never gives us more than we can handle, but He does have to carry us quite a bit at times.

Toot, thought about you in the shower a few minutes ago.:scared1: Lavender/Vanilla :teeth: B&BW online this week $5, not sure about in the store.

Mrs. FoP, I own overalls & shortalls, wanna borrow them? :duck:

Woe is me, once again I shall talk to myself.

and broke it all to pieces. :teeth:

Hi!!

Wilma -- We had horrible storms here in central PA too! Of course I was getting gas in the worst of it!!
Yes, my puppy, Atlas, actually got me up at 10 til 5 today. When I work, I get up at 5:15am, but Atlas usually wants up between 4:30 and 5 whether I am going to work or not!! :(
He got the last of his shots today, so he is a bit under the weather tonight.

Well, I am just waiting to hang up some shirts from my 4th load of laundry for the day and then off to sleep. I got a fair amount of weed whacking done and didn't see a slithering monster!! :) So all in all, it was a decent "day off" my day job...

Have a good night!

Good morning, Sassies! Second day of my new schedule, so there is time to fart around on the computer!! :yay: I'm lovin' it! Wish this was always my schedule, and watching the desk is easy peasy!

I LOVE Hollie Hobbie, so perhaps if you wear your hat to the meet, I might love you by extension. PERHAPS.

What are you up to today, Wilhelm?

You thought about me in the shower? :scared1: ;) I gotta get online and get me some. Which is better for relaxing, do you think...the lavendar vanilla or the lavendar chamomille?

You're going to Orlando in January???

Morning, Julie! How are you today? Do you work or stay at home?

Angus, are you gonna be online a little today do you think, or is Gertie's nosiness going to get in the way of our love? ;)

Bex, got a new phone yet? I'll be waiting for your text. :rolleyes1

Hi Heather, Tricia, Rella, Kimmy and anyone I am forgetting! :wave2:
