We stayed in a one bedroom our last visit and because my parents went along we let them have the bedroom and we took the pull-out and it was not bad. It is no were near sleeping in a real bed but I did get a good night sleep and wasn't stiff in the morning. My 7 y.o. was just fine but then again he is a kid and can sleep sitting up in the car.
The studio has one queen sized bed and one double sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa is fairly comfortable without a bar underneath. The mattress is memory foam.
I am a DVC member and went to Disney last minute at the end of April and all I could get was a studio at SSR My BIL graciously took the open up with my 4 year old nephew and me and my sis took the bed. My BIL took the cushions from the couch and placed them on top of the memory foam mattress on just his side of the bed and then put the cap sheet on top and made the bed as usual. It ended up being just as comfortable as a bed so if you feel that there just isn't enough mattress you may want to try this. I plan to do it next time I'm on the open up.
