27 boats run through Pirates of the Caribbean

27 Days! ACK! So much to do, so little time!

First things first though- today I'm breaking out the suitcases, laying them in ours and the little girls room and I'm going to start organizing! I've got to get a feel for exactly how much luggage we'll need, and I can get away with packing much of our clothes now as far as the lighter layers are concerned (shorts, etc.).

I'm debating on packing a suitcase with breakfast items or just ordering from Garden Grocer... I may end up doing a little of both so we can have milk for the girls in the room and what not... DECISIONS!

I'm still debating on which of our ADR's to keep too- I'm thinking about canceling Chef Mickeys, because I already know they'll freak Anastasia out and she'll end up not eating. Not to mention it's a late (8 pm) ADR and I can totally rebook it for October (knock on wood) for a better time. I'm resolute on canceling Cindy's Table as well- it's another late ADR (1:30 lunch) which is the girls' nap time, and it can be rescheduled for a better time next trip. I think I'll keep 1900 Park though- I get such a kick out of the idea of the step sisters and the kids want ONE princess meal...

I've got to buckle down!

27 Boats. That is an interesting fact! :thumbsup2

How many of your ADR's are you keeping??

I am just joining in here. I came over after you said you had a Lexi too. :) I am all caught up and looking forward to your daily trivia.

I wish I had the space to pull out the suitcases early. I just don't have the room, so things start collecting in piles and bags untill I can't get to my bed!

I think just two or three; frankly I'm really enjoying the idea of not rushing around too much and just getting our bearings this trip! It sounds blissful.

Yeah! Welcome! Will it totally trip you out when I start writing about what Lexi said or did? Anytime I read something with my kids' names in it makes me grin!

Please don't do what I did in 2007. I made out my Garden Grocer order WAAAY in advance and saved it on their website until it got closer to time. Every time I thought of something I'd add it to the list. Well, at some point I had a box of Cheerio's on the list, then later I saw that they had small individual boxes of Cheerio's so I added that to the list too. I forgot about the first box so I never took it off of the list. THEN, when I went to pack my small suitcase of food/snacks to bring I saw that I had no cereal so I picked up a box of Cheerio's along the way. When we got to WDW and unpacked and got the Garden Grocer order I ended up with something like 6 boxes of Cheerio's. 2 large boxes and 4 individual sized. :scared1: DH just shook his head and laughed.

Oh, I feel you there! I've got a couple of long dressers that I'm going to clear off and utilize specifically for the Disney packing staging area. :lmao:

Okay, that is too funny! Did you go outside, sprinkle them around and start singing "Feed The Birds"? ;)

I will break out the luggage in about 2 more weeks. That will give me around 2 weeks to slowly start putting things in them. I CAN'T WAIT!!!! :cool1:

Oh man I wish I would have thought about the birds!! :lmao: No, I was stuck with lot of Cheerio's. At least DS ate some of them during the week for breakfast so I only had the 2 big boxes to take home. :rotfl2:

I can't believe how many boxes of cheerio's you ended up with!!:lmao:

Seriously, that is hysterical- I know what to get you for next Christmas now!

I did not put it in my TR. I was too embarrassed. It's now been 2 years and I have not repeated the mistake so I guess it's ok to let the cat out of the bag.

It was not long after this trip that DS started to not like Cheerio's as much anymore. It is still not his first or even second choice. :confused3 :rotfl2:

I wonder how they decided on 27 boats...hmmmm...

You are so close! You are so close! I can't believe how close you are getting!!! I am very excited.

I would keep 1900 Park because it will give you an excuse to go hang out at the Grand Floridian -- it really is worth a visit.

I first wanted to comment on the tink jacket- the pink and black one! I love it!! It's soo cute! I have always loved pink and black together and then the design it just to cute!

It's kind of funny when you talk about your suitcases because yesterday my parents broke out their suitcases.. mostly my dad because they are goin on a cruise on Jan. 24th.. and I thought it was funny how early he was packing.. they had done some last minute shopping and before you know it by dad had tons of stuff packed and ironed! hehe :rotfl: It was funny.. but then I started to think... I do the exact same thing! I hate packing at the last minute because then I always forget things.. soo I always make a list ahead of time.. and then if I think of anything along the way I add it. Then as I add it to my luggage- I mark it off.. and usually the day before I double check everything. But early packing definetly helps!! :thumbsup2 Plus, it makes it more exciting and seem soo much closer!!

Also, I know how you feel about ADR's.. I'm going in June.. but just like you I start early.. last year we had like 30 we wanted to eat at.. narrowed down to like 7 days... hehe so I feel ya! This time I'm getting ready to make dinner resses.. and I'm double checking everything and trying to drop stuff.. I've basically made DH help me a lot more this time.. demanding his opinion!! hehe The other night.. we both sat at the computer and went through the dining choices I had soo far.. looking at pictures, reading stuff.. and so forth to narrow some down.. and I actually deleted some for this trip- as hard as it was. So good luck! I'll be looking forward to hearing about the 1900 park fare if you do decide to keep that.. because I want to go but its most likely not going to fit into this trip...we will see though!

Happy 28 days till Disney!

Space Mountain only travels at a maximum speed of about 28 miles per hour.

Holy carp that just sounds downright SCARY! It gives me goosebumps and tingles to think that our trip is SO CLOSE!

Did I tell everyone that I confirmed our return flight?! I can't remember! We're flying home on Sunday on the latest flight (7 something that night) so we will have some time to fiddle around in one of the parks before having to get on the bus back to the airport!

This begs a question to be answered though: How much time do you alot for getting the bus back to MCO? For instance, if our flight leaves at 7, what time do we need to be at POR in order to get to the airport and get through security? Anyone?!

:woohoo: Woohoo

You've probably already received help on the flight issue. But usually... the front desk or the luggage holder people.. heheh can't remember what exactly they are called but anyways.. they have always told us. I always thought it was a little early- but they said they do it in case the bus is running late etc.. and you are suppose to be at the airport an hour before flight. So if its at like 7:30, then you should be there at 6:30..which means they will probably get you there like an hour early.. last year- we got there 2 hours early.. but that was ok.. we explored the MCO airport!

I meant to comment on this earlier but.. when we went in Jan. 2005- it was our first trip together and we thought.. we won't need much.. we did bring bottled water and bananas.. but that was it.. We also didn't have the dining plan that year either.. thats when I realized that was one of the stupidest moves I've ever made for us..:sad2: Anyways, thats another story. So I really wish we would of packed more food and drink for our hotel.. because we always get late night munchies when we can't sleep, and it was nice to have breakfast foods in the hotel room already. So we always pack some.. its never a suitcase full.. hehe but then again its just DH and I!

:

you were too embarrassed????? Please!!! Have you seen the things I say and do? Not to mention my "happy" picture?:lmao:

I can't imagine why your ds doesn't care for cheerios anymore!;)

:lmao: Point taken.
I was a newbie back then. I wouldn't really care about the embarrassing stuff now.

Yeah, I don't blame him one bit. :rolleyes1

Holy cabooses!

Your trip is getting SO close! Remember when you started and it seemed so, so far away? I'm excited for you. And the kids, I can't wait until the big reveal!

I'm SHOCKED that your DS isn't a big Cheerios fan any longer... just SHOCKED! :rotfl:

Ooh, good point, Jackie. I do want to check out some of the other resorts.

Isn't the jacket cute?! DH and I found that for her at Sears of all places- who knew?! It cracked me up because I didn't notice until Tatiana went to put it on that it has those thumb holes at the bottom of the sleeves that a lot of junior clothing have. My 10 year old feels SO teenish. :lmao:

I'm glad someone will tell us what time- I do NOT want to have to think after 10 days of vacation!

Yeah, this is what I don't want to happen! Four kids with not enough food equals hell on eart!
