We just got home from a 4 night stay at Saratoga Springs in a studio and we only had our trash taken once. We did however receive towels everyday, including checkout day which was extremely odd. Meanwhile our trash was overflowing. Time to add trash bags to the owners locker I suppose.

If you pull the trash bag out, they usually have a roll in the bottom.

We have been twice at 2 different resort since WDW reopened. Daily trash pick up didn’t happen at either stay. We stay for 6 nights. Probably had trash picked up maybe twice per stay. One was a GV, we just did daily trash and recycling runs.

We just stayed for 17 nights in July between Saratoga and BWV. 9 nights were at Saratoga. We stayed in a studio in Congress Park. The trash & recycle can was one unit in our room that had a removable lid with slots to drop your trash or recyclables. It was not nearly large enough and had NO trashbags in it at all the whole time. The bathroom trashcan did not either. Not sure why but we just used store bags to line the trash can because i find it gross to just throw trash in a can with no bag. The trash was removed everyday but the recycles was hit or miss. When we moved over to BWV, we were in a 1 bedroom and it was a regular trash can and recycle can and the trash can there did have trash bags. Our towels and cleaning days at both resorts were done on the proper days.

No bags at all.

wasn’t it in 2018 or 2019 that they started the daily room checks that included trash?Honestly I don’t need them to come get it, I can take it to a trash room myself but then they need to supply bags.

That’s exactly what we had. iny no bag trash cans and the one shared with the recycle.

What can you do with your trash if they don't come and it starts to pile up? Place it outside the door for pick up or take it somewhere yourself?

I have stayed at PVB , OKW, CCV ,HHI in 2021 and they have entered room and taken out trash everyday at all resorts. Not sure why your SSR experience was different?

After the Vegas mass shooting, they were supposed to be doing daily room checks and they usually took the trash when they did it. That was their way of spinning it so that the daily room checks seemed like a benefit to the members. (Since the Pandemic started, however, people have reported that their trash was not necessarily removed every day.) Prior to the Vegas shooting, DVC members sometimes wanted the trash out of their rooms before the designated Trash & Towel Day, so the DVC resorts all had Trash Rooms where members could take their trash. I have not been since the Pandemic started, so I cannot say if all of the Trash Rooms are still open.

Have family members that were at SSR last week of July. They got trash service daily (which included removal of both regular and recycle trash). In other words, it is probably supposed to happen.

All dvc resorts have dedicated trash closets where you can stow trash and recycling. That said, trash pick up has been a daily thing for many years now.

someone came to the door and asked. if we were out, trash did not get removed. linens left at front door on a week stay at SSR.
