Going to Disney on a Motorcycle from Nebraska. Want to pamper my sore muscles after that long ride.

Anyone been to Saratoga Springs and what did you like best??

I spent 5 days down there and loved it very much, very laid back compared to being right inthe busyness of disney. buses run great and I have been scared to fly and never desired trying to over come that fear but after spennding time there is summer I have booked my first plane ride just so I can go back to SSR and not have to drive two days to get there lol.

We went a few weeks ago and whats not to like . The pool area is nice ( Hot tub )as are the quite pools. After that long ride I would look into the Spa and get some real therepy ( JK ) .

The rooms are great and the beds are just sweet ( not as nice as my Select comfort ).

Enjoy the ride it's been I bit since I've been on a bike and the most I've done is about 300 miles in a days time on a crotchrocket.

I drive a scooter, yes it only goes 35 mph, but I still can't imagine such a long ride! Wow!

At any rate, I have stayed at SSR 4 times already and I love it! I always stay in Congress Park because it has the most amazing view, it's very close to DTD and it seems quieter because of the theme pool being a bit of a jaunt.

That said, if you plan to use the main pool and it's hot tubs (there is one hot tub at Congress Park's quiet pool) you might want to stay closer, like the Springs, because it's just a short walk.

I'd also like to suggest that you try to spa. It's WONDERFUL! I had the most amazing spa experience there with the mystical forrest treatment. I highly recommend it!

The resort is quite laid back, very friendly and calm. It's a retreat unto itself and, although it can be filled to near capacity, you would hardly know it. The bus service has never been a problem, just don't expect to always have a seat leaving Epcot after Illuminations.

Good luck and happy riding!

We stayed at SSR back in May and really enjoyed it. We were in the Paddocks which was nice and quiet. There is a quiet pool there, too, by the bus stop and it also has a hot tub. There was hardly ever anyone there. It's a beautiful resort.

The only thing I would recommend is to request a not-first-floor room - why? Because they have nice balconies and on the 1st floor, it's a patio (obviously) - I think in terms of relaxing, it would be nicer to sit out on a balcony. I know we enjoyed having it - we stayed in a studio.

Well, even though you are "vikingfans", I guess I can still answer your question :rotfl: Saratoga Springs is very nice as people have stated. It's also nice being close to Downtown Disney just for some relaxing stuff to do. The restaurant at Saratoga Springs, is now supposed to be full service. At least that's what a dining CM told me. Since they only had the snack bar before, that's a great addition for easy food. Their snack bar is also a REALLY nice one, with a great dining area and simple hot menu items. We really enjoyed the zero entry pool. Definitely one of the most relaxing places to stay at Disney. Kind of like Old Key West.

I've gone to the spa several times for a pedicure and it was luscious. They really do pamper you, so take advantage of that if you want. Have a great time.

Thanks for all the great info.

Can anyone tell me about any of the spa treatments?? That's what I'm most interested in.
