Does anyone know if DVC members receive a discount on any of the services (massage, facials, reiki) offered at the SSR Spa? I would like to make a reservation for my mom for mother's day. TIA!

DVC Members do get a discount on certain services at the spa... on the DVC member site, go to Member Privledges> Member Perks> Walt Disney World Resort> Recreation> Spas & Health Clubs to see what is offered.

Are you going to be with your mom at the Spa? I know that you pay after your services, so if you weren't going to be there to pay, I don't know how she would get the discount.

I would also recommend confirming the price when you call the spa to make the reservation. We have made reservations and then had a little surprise when it came time to pay - they apparently the prices on DVC member site are subject to change. Do whatever you can to lock them into the price you see on the site.

Despite that issue, I highly recommend the spa - it's become a tradition for every WDW trip!

I have paid ahead of time for spa treatments for my sons and daughters in laws and was able to get the DVC discount for any treatments that had a discount; I was even able to include the gratuity in my payment.

I know that the discounts were pretty limited to the most basic of treatments.

This is a great gift; I hope she enjoys it.

Has anyone had the "Couple's Relaxation Package" at SSR? If so, what is included in the package?

Thanks everyone for the information! I will be with my mom on this trip (we are going May 15th-22nd) and she is actually the DVC member, my husband, daughter and I will just be there as guests. I just wanted to be able to book/pay in advance so I could make this her mother's day gift.

Any recommendations of your favorite spa service?

I have done the Mystical Forest package, swedish massages, aromatherapy massage, wraps, scrubs, facials, aromatherapy facials (yes I spa alot while staying there).

I did not enjoy the scrub; it's the worst one I've had anywhere so I definitely would not book a scrub or any package where you are paying for a scrub as it's a total waste of $$. I've had good massages and not so good massages there; it really depends more on the therapist than the treatment. Every facial has been very good and I enjoy the amale products they use.

I have not felt that the Mystical Forest treatments were much of an upgrade from the regular treatments. I like the grapefruit treatments at GF spa better as an upgrade. So at SSR now, I just get the regular treatments.

Another thing I do not care for here is how they bring you back to the regular waiting room if you book multiple treatments. It takes away from the relaxation. So now I do not book back to back treatments; I prefer to just get one treatment per day.
