We were in a studio in Congress Park March 13-17. I was hoping for a water view since we used the extra points for preferred, but we had a decent view of trees with the bus stop in the distance (room 2312). We were on 3rd floor, and I had requested higher floor so that was met.
No problems with the room at all. There was a loose knob on one of the cabinet doors under the "kitchen" area but no big deal. Very clean and plenty of towels for the two of us.
Husband used the hot tub--it was too chilly for us to use the pool, except the first day when it was drizzling LOL. No issues with the pool area. We ate in Artist's Palette one evening and it was OK, typical food court food. We saw Scott Hamilton (won the gold medal in ice skating in 1984) and his family which was exciting, although I'm not a person to take clandestine photos or bother people so I did not take photos. He grew up in the town where I went to college (Bowling Green Ohio) and my kids can't get over that I didn't use that to go up and say hello, but that's not me. They also said they had to google him when I texted about it so no one else probably bugs him, LOL.
No issues with Magical Express either way. Was not thrilled with resort busses. It wasn't the fact that we were the 2nd from the end stop, and had to stand all the way to Epcot, I expected that. It was that it seemed the SSR bus stops are often one of the farthest from the parks themselves when you want to leave (except DHS which is quite close). Also, I didn't realize at Epcot the bus drops you off so far from the actual gate. We hadn't stayed at SSR since 09 and had a car then.
All in all it was a nice place to come "home" to at the end of a long park day for two 53 year olds who walked 17-18000 steps a day.
The worst experience? One afternoon we got in the elevator with a family of older folks and I mentioned to my DH "I am just surprised at how busy Epcot was today" and the woman in the family laughed in my face and said "DON'T YOU KNOW IT'S SPRING BREAK??" Well yes, you b****, I did, I usually have to travel at Easter which is much worse. It really made me angry. I wasn't talking to her and did not appreciate being mocked by a total stranger on an elevator.
