Just wondering if there have been Saratoga Springs resales and are they selling?
We did an add-on of 50 points there...and while I don't regret it at all.....my thoughts are turning to buying a HH resale if I can.(obviously, for the 11 month window) and since in the real world, I can't afford my VWL, SS, and HH....I was wondering if MAYBE I sold the SS to buy the HH resale?
Nothing is set in motion, just tossing around ideas. There is no way I am selling my 150 points at WLV....but what would be the value of selling the SS, if they can still buy from Disney direct? I don't even know if any small resales at HH are avialable, but just want to start getting info.

The sponsor of the board has 7 SSR resales, all sale pending, so it's possible, and with the small number of points, you could interest someone who just wants to get their toe wet in the DVC pool!

Best wishes.

We have just purchased our first set of DVC time share points (510) at the Saratoga Springs. Although we have been big disney fans for years, we are now taking a bigger step. I would really like to hear from people that have been using DVC. We really enjoy going on the cruises....infact we take off on the west coast cruise next week, and would like to go on the Dec. 2006 10 day cruise, but will there be availability to use our points....any ideas, or help?

I think you will have great success selling your points as long as they are no more than about $82.00 per point.

You best bet in selling the points is to include a few banked points with the deal and you can probably consider them sold.

DVC's current incentive of $90.00 (IIRC) and a Feb UY with 150 points and pro rated maintenance fees on the 150 make this a good value. You don't want to price yourself higher than Disney.

Remember usually the buyer pays closing and MF's so you have to be competitive.

Small resales are desireable for those who want to pay cash but don't have overstuffed wallets. Like me!
So someone will be interested because they won't have to buy DVC 150 point minimum.

Small add-ons at ANY resort seem to sell well because some people just don't feel they need DVC 150-pt minimum.

You might try selling yourself at www.tug2.com or elsewhere before going to a broker. If you list with an agent you'll pay 10-12% commission right off the top. Of course, it may be worth the money to avoid the hassle of managing things yourself.
