The point requirement for friday and saturday, not double the point requirement, for Sunday-Thursday reservations

like other DVC Resorts and other seaons

any thoughts, from the DVC experts, what this is intended to accomplish?

Maybe, when you get a grand villa, to use it all week, instead of only sunday-Thursday??

I think so. There are probably a lot of GVs sitting empty with those high weekend points. SSR might want that not to happen and make it more point friendly to stay the whole week.

I have always thought the weekend point differential to be a problem for those of us who travel for 7-14 days. I think perhaps you are correct in thinking that maybe lots of folks don't stay in the GVs on weekends. I know, we have always done a Sunday -Thursday in the GVs, but we always stay with points on the weekend nights in other size accommodations. I tend to look at ressies in week long increments, but not at the GVs.
