I don't know all the specifics. My guide just said that the credit was not going to be called Magical Beginnings.

June use year at SSR is being sold now. Although not usable at SSR until 5/1/04, 2003 SSR points, if granted, could be used at other resorts or banked.

I don't get it. How is a June 2003 use year for SSR being sold now. The resort doesn't open until 2054. If someone bought now, wouldn't the contract be for 51 years.

I was told that all use years will be 2004 and that you can either take the $10 credit (called something different than MB) or you can get "free" pts or "developers" pts that have to be used by April 1, 2004.

I've edited my posts to reflect "credit" instead of "MB."
But . . . wouldn't a purchase of any other resort bought 10 months prior to Use Year include the current year's points unless a MB offer was used? Is the difference with the SSR credit that 2003 points are not being offered?

I don't know. From what I've read, all use years will start in 2004 and if you buy now and take the free pts-then those are a one time free set that have to be used by April 1, 2004.

I guess they are not calling it MB because there isn't a set of first year pts to sell back right now.

I don't care what they call it-$10 is $10-I'll be happy with it if I add on.

I'm just confused aabout all of the people who have use years before May 1, 2004.

Do we still get 2004 pts?

So my vote is no for now. Maybe in the future. Would have to decide between the current offerings and resale.

If I were to buy any more points (pretty doubtful because my dues are about as high as I'm willing to go), I'd add on to either BWV or BCV where I already have points. So I voted no.

But I'm sure that SSR will be beautiful, and I do plan to stay there eventually.

I voted "Maybe", but not for lack of details. It is more like:
"Maybe-if DH lets me!!"

Any word on minimum pts to recive the $10 "not MB" offer?
Can this be w/ add-ons as well?

With the date extension of SSR, can an offer to extend for the other resorts be far behind? Will DVC wait until SSR sells out to offer this for other resorts-as the 2054 yr. will probably be used as a sales incentive?

The $10 "'non-MB'-credit" can be used for purchases of 100 points or more.
